So the speed of light is less than c=1 otherwise the photon would cease to exist. Or something is not accurate with the theory in regards to how energy behaves at c.

In my opinion the behaviour of photon in an Aether
is different than how it behaves in an atom.
The difference depends on the spin of photon: h or h*(bar)

Fair enough, but I must still assume that the volume of energy in a photon remains the same regardless of the medium, however the l,w, and height that make the volume may change. I also assume that if there is an aether between the stars that EM field propagate through then the same medium is present between the atomic structures and for their EM waves.

You say that photon in the aether has volume.
Maybe you know that surrounding space ( a reference frame )
makes influence on the objects that exist there.
For example, the fish in the water has another form than
animals which live in the forest or savanna.
Now, please, give the physical parameters of aether.
Without to understand what aether is all debates is tautology.
And of course, neither you nor I want to waste our time for nothing.

That is why I posted in general discussion, in hopes to have some discussion. You and I know it's only possible to speculate the properties of aether. But there is no way to move forward without speculation and then experimenting to find if the thoughts are correct.
I suppose that aether is the finite, indivisible, the first building block of all things. A disturbance in aether creates measurable energy. It's density is no longer uniform but is displaced by the waves of the disturbance.
