No I didn't vote for an open border policy. As well, so far as security is concerned I live in the country and yes I routinely forget to lock my doors. My younger friends were bugging me about my old .270 while shooting targets out back this summer. It was open sights because I was working on the scope mounts so with no warm up I dropped three rounds in a two foot group at 600 yards. I looked at them and said "one shot one kill" and they never said another word that day. Age does have benefits and while the boys I was with liked to talk big experience matters because as I said one shot is generally more than enough.

I have to scratch my head watching the news about Aleppo because those guys over there are always spraying bullets everywhere but they never seem to hit anything. I'm not sure what in the hell they could be thinking, it looks like their just showing off.

Sounds pretty rough, I was in town for a few years but there are too many people too close together which causes problems so I moved. You know we are free to move almost anywhere we choose and I am not bound to any one place. My home is where I make it and next year we plan to move to British Columbia near the mountains. I enjoy a change of scenery every now and then, a fresh start, so I can build new things.

You know I am Canadian but I would live in the U.S., I like Montana and the coast along Oregon is awesome. Where I live is just another place to me and it doesn't change who I am. Hell we have always planned to retire in Mexico along the coast where it's nice and warm and I'm okay with that. Good scenery, good people, good rum and awesome fishing... sounds like paradise to me.

The thing about Trump is that he is a Neoliberal and it was a given that he would back down on most of his political promises. Businessmen promise whatever they think the customer wants to hear and then it's business as usual as we can see.

As such no politicians will be going to jail just as no CEO's ever go to jail. No walls will be built because it impedes trade and Putin is not the enemy he is just another businessman. Corporations will pay no tax as if they ever did and new jobs will be created.

The upside is peace and jobs because religion and politics has no place in business it's all about wealth. The downside is investors rule and all labor related wages will fall across the board. The problem is in business you keep the workers just happy enough that they work hard but not so happy they ever get ahead and look for new opportunities.

Another aspect is that business does not care what people believe and it is not a valid consideration. Whomever can do the best job at the lowest wage with the least hassle is the best employee. So this notion that cheap labor will be deported is just another broken promise. The fact remains that no American or Canadian will ever work as a laborer for $10 a day and someone has to do the job. As we can see the markets love him and business will flourish however the downside is the environment is screwed and the poor with it.

So I am kind of optimistic about the Trump government because they are 100% predictable regardless of the spin they feed the masses. You know I am really warming up to Trump because we know where he stands and what he will do in the future.
