  • Electro-Chemichal Experiment Question

    Hello

Want to ask a question about Electro-Chemichal Experiment I been running.
On YouTube here are several videos of people running some thing using 2 identical metal plates and bucket of salty water. They name their videos ''gold cooking'' and such.

While claiming they are making gold and silver and such with those buckets they never even bother answer if they chemically tested anything.
I got interested by this and wanted to redo just to see what that red stuff is. I expected it to be - as many YouTube videos are - a fake mix of something.

I have used the following proportions:

    2400 gram of tap water
    600 gram of table salt

In 3L plastic storage box. After all salt is dissolved I placed in 2 identical copper electrodes.
I don't have video of entire process with copper plates.
Power that I delivered to it was about 5.38 Amps at starting voltage of 8 volts.
This later increased to 10-12 volts.

At 10 minute mark mix gotten bright yellow
At 20 minute mark it become bluish in color
At 30 minute it got kinda blue-green
At 40 minute mark it changed to red and stayed thick red till I switched power off at 1.5h

After I switched power off it was bright red and thick. I waited about 10 hours and most of mix had settled. I tried to sive it using a filter made from 4 layers of very thick cloth, but it was impossible to do so.. Particle of it look like very small, may be nano sized and liquid just dripped through cloth like water.

I am not a chemistry specialist so I decided to make a post here and ask what others think.
I have done some research and colol of it doesn't appeare to match copper's known compaunds.
    Like copper oxide is black
    copper sulfate is blue
copper green oxide or patina is green. Some patina is on my plates, but not in the mix

I can't provide images using Imgur. It is broken for me and images would not even upload. And other hosts like ImageTwist I don't want to use as they display pornographic adds with their images and would not be appropriate nor polite for forum users.

remember you are taking apart the salt with doing that,
    so,
the blue green color is chlorine (from the salt)
the yellowish color is likely sodium (should end up as NaOH)
but some of that could also bonded with the copper.

So, I probably won't transmute anything new?

      ---Side note to you Spacecase0

Have had a crack at that elektret?
Just curious. It should of gotten warm enough by now

Here in UK we had a 10 day long heat wave. Yesterday was +31c in shade up here in Newcastle.
Down south it hit to 35c or more

      --------------

Since some flat earth guy killed our conversations in the other 2 threads it has been very quite here
I am in a process of fitting new furnace. My current one is so no good.
After I am done I want to make universal testing device.
I said in other thread that I wanted to try alexey's disks with pyramids. May be you remember that.
Then Gambeir posted some VRILL drawings with tetrahedron or something.

So, I will try to fit out a device where I can change set quickly and test different ones.
May be I misunderstood that vrill drawing in 2-D.
Before I start casting parts I will make several 3-D drawings as good as i can and post them some place
May be Gambeir would have a look and say if i got it right or not
