I just felt inspired this morning to recommend the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I first got into his writings while working with teens in a wilderness therapy program. I'd read this book to my students every morning while we crushed coals from our camp fire. This was one book I could never hold on to. Always had to give it away. His writings also inspired me to do El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in northern Spain.

I have a friend in Gijon who is really into El Camino. Kudos to you for doing El Camino de Santiago!

Very cool! I had read half of Coelho's book "The Pilgrimage" and didn't like it much at the time. A couple years later it started coming up over and over and over so I decided to look into it again and then just couldn't get it out of my head. I will one day go back and spend more time in Spain, especially the coastal regions. Gijon looks beautiful!!!Comment
