Anyone ever try reducing the junk mail they receive?

I'm thinking of trying and found these sites so far:

Opt-Out | Get Off the Lists!

Stop Junk Mail - Opt Out Junkmail | stopthejunkmail.com

    Hi Jessica

I had a stamp made in red ink

    REFUSED
    RETURN TO SENDER

My friends at the post office got a kick out of it but the post master was less than amused when I brought a whole box of junk mail down & plopped it on the counter.

I did and it worked. Everytime I got a credit card offer, I would call the number and ask to be removed from their mailing list. It took 2-3 months, but they stopped coming. You can do the same to coupon rags you get. Also, go paperless on all your accounts and do everything on line. Soon you will only get quality mail - letters from friends, checks, etc.

      Blessings on the journey, Glenn

Good to hear. I'm going to start working on this next week.

I don't know if this is effective, but one time I heard a suggestion to use the pre-paid envelopes they send and mail their junk back to them. They have to pay for that, no choice, lol.

This is a link at one of the sites I posted above :

          https://www.dmachoice.org/

I was able to complete an online form and opt out of junk mail. It did ask for info from one of my credit cards but it said that was for verification purposes only and that nothing would be charged

You can put washers in the envelopes so they have to pay extra for the weight.
