  • It is freezing cold here!

It is really cold (freezing) here today...and forecast to be so all week.

But, just a couple of weeks ago it was a nice day in the 50's and Mary and I were able to visit a lake near us.

    Here are a few pics:

Holy cow! Here in Philadelphia it was in the 60's (and maybe even the low 70's) where it will remain for at least a few days. I am so loving it!!!!

Oops...spoke too soon. It is now snowing here We have about an inch so far.

Kevin, I don't know how I stand it either. I was born and raised in the South and I really hate the winters here. However, I love living close to Philadelphia. And the beach is only an hour away, with NYC, DC, Baltimore, and the Poconos all less than 2 hrs away.

                The Virginia Range looking north.

Living & working as a miner in California in the 1980's I heard much about the Comstock silver district & I'm particularly pleased to be able to spend some time living here & tramping about the area.
It's 18 degrees now & going to get down to 9 degrees tonite, time to bring the critters in....

Getting warmer here (Australia) average day now about 25C/77F when summer hits we should be getting around 36 to 45C days and the nights are not much better. We have had a little rain after almost 10 years of drought.

Never had a white christmas here.

                      Snowing!

It's snowed today and still going!!!!! It's just unusual to snow in Las Vegas so I am very grateful and happy! It snowed on Monday too and the weather channel says we're gonna get more tomorrow. I would love it to snow on Christmas here, that would top off this beautiful year I'm having.

Ymehay, I've been to Sydney for Christmas and I love it!! It was different and fun to go to the beach on Christmas day. You're lucky! Enjoy that paradise of yours
                      With Infinite Love and Gratitude,
                      Christine

                          lots of snow

I shoveled snow 3 times yesterday. Each time I finished, there was already about an inch where I shoveled!

Gotta fix this snow blower in my garage today. From last night until 4pm today is an extra 15 inches of snow so a total of about 2 feet or more yesterday and today!

                          WOW
                          Sincerely,

It snows here in the winter but it doesn't get too much at once and there are warmer days so it will snow, then stick sometimes, then melt, repeat.

99% of the time a broom works better than a shovel because of the light amount. I just keep one in my car, lol. I use it for leaves in the fall too.

Next time I buy ice melt I am DEFINITELY getting this stuff :

ah, i think its all relative and a matter of what one is use to. I have some online friends in Canada and, and i understand that my winter is like their spring. I am at the southern end of Australia which means i am at the colder end of the country due to being in the southern hemisphere. What is cold for my far north country people might be warm for me.
36F is 18C here. That temperature is leaning on the cold side for me. That means it is borderline or possibly wearing a jacket for me.

36F is about 2Celsius, and i have never experienced that during the day in my city (Melbourne). Although i have experienced at night -1C / 30F while camping out in the bush. That is really cold for me.

Wow, you guys/ gals have to shovel snow. That is foreign reality for me. The nearest snow during winter for me is about an hour and a half a way, but for skiing is from a larger group of mountains several hours away from my city.

Nice photos. Opportune time in your season for attuning to the inner. Out of that stillness is the opportunity for the birthing of the new.

                              Thanks for sharing
