Hi everyone,
I just wanted to post this obituary of my dear friend Rodger Q. Estes.
On December 1st, I was sitting in front of my computer after dinner and suddenly a rush of thoughts and feelings about Rodger had come through me like a wave and most of them were about all the times we had together during this time of year. A bunch of us would have get-togethers at his house for the holiday season and sometimes visit St. John's Cathedral on Christmas or New Years because it was a very special place for him. None of us were Catholic but we went anyway - there was always a specific meaning or reason we gave to just about everything we did.
I then found myself staring at my palms the way Rodger always would. His palms were always very, very red but the center of his palms were extremely white and that is where he emitted very strong healing energy. It was so powerful you could hear it when he held them up to my ears - it wasn't just certain people that could hear it, it was so powerful just about everyone could - even skeptics. It sounded like the fluttering of humming bird's wings at a distance - or a helicopter way off in the distance.
Anyway, I felt very sad because I hadn't seen him in a while.
The next night, our mutual friend Yvonne called me and the moment she asked for me on the phone, I knew that Rodger had died.
That night I sat on my bed sending out my best wishes and thanks to him and suddenly, I was engulfed in a cool swirling breeze for at least fifteen minutes. It was so strong I was surprised. I put my hand up to my windows thinking that would be weird since they are brand new windows. I put my hand around the wall as if something would be blowing through the wall. It was definitely specific to just being around me and I have no doubt that he was sending me thoughts the night before and he was present with me right then while I was sitting on my bed.
He was one of the best friends I have ever had and he was an incredible mentor. He considered me his protégé but there will never be another Rodger. However, I do carry on his spirit in the work that I do and that is how I can best honor this amazing man.
I met Rodger about 11 years ago when I was going through some unusual experiences and needed to find someone that understood. Shortly after, I was introduced to him through synchronicity.
Rodger was the first non-Chinese to be certified as a Qigong Master by the Chinese Qigong Delegation in Beijing. He was a natural born Qigong master that had some unusual experiences that surfaced his gifts.
The main experience being an experience on Good Friday in the bottom of St. John's Cathedral here in Spokane years ago. It was very traumatic and we only talked about this a few times. But years after this experience, he learned he could heal people.
I saw him do some energy work on someone who was severely disabled by MS in a wheelchair and hadn't even been able to take a drink by herself - stand up out of the chair, take some steps, sit down and pick up a glass of water herself and brought it to her lips to take a drink by herself - for the first time in years.
I witnessed and participated in many of these healing sessions at his house over the years and they have been some of the most awesome and profoundly amazing experiences I ever had.
Rodger was the single most influential person in my entire life and by knowing Rodger, my life was propelled in a direction that I most desired in a way that is beyond words.
He was also a super genius in many ways including art and invention and also had several extremely highly developed psychic abilities.
He invented quite a few medical devices including a device that holds the body open during surgery, the first net play pen, world's largest embrodery press when he was only 26, fail safe pull pin on fire extinguishers and the list goes on.
Rodger was the one that introduced me to John Bedini about 8 years ago and that alone was a huge turning point for me.
He didn't have many friends and what I mean by that is that he took everyone in like family. He was always loving and generous and I'll miss him very much! Anyway, I've been pretty heartbroken over this the last two weeks because losing a friend like this is indescribable. I could literally write volumes about all the times we had together.
Rodger really got his biggest desire. From the day I met him, he had a large painting over his fireplace that had big concentric circles. In the very middle, he glued a little white dot on it and said that was the light at the end of the tunnel. That is where he most wanted to go. Every few years he would cut out some shiny looking paper circles that were bigger and bigger each year and put those on the center - that was him getting closer to the light. Well, he is right where he most longed to go! He just wanted to leave this world and be with God fully and without physical limitations so much it was amazing.
He has left quite a legacy behind and he'll be missed by many! I Love you Rodger - we all do!
I'm going to put up some kind of memorial page to honor Rodger after the new year.
I spelled his name Rodger even though it says Roger in the obituary. He went by Roger almost all his life. Then about 7 years ago or so, he found a copy of his birth certificate and saw it was spelled Rodger. From then he spelled it that way with a D (Rodger) so that is intentional.
