I have read about gamma brain waves (can be 40 to 70 hrtz I think) and would like to know if a person has to be born with that capacity or, if brain entrainment can achieve such a state? Or something like brainwave generator producing that brain state?

high hz brainwaves
Rhozzi,
I have read about Japanese researchers measuring up to 500hz in the brain so the brain is naturally capable of reaching those frequencies and higher.Sincerely,

Good question. I know that we can't hear the lower frequencies which is why we use different frequencies (400 & 406 to get 6) to entrain in the Theta, Beta, Delta, and Alpha ranges. I know that I've read somewhere about the Gamma frequencies and entraining to them. I just don't remember where. It was definitely on the web. If my memory kicks in, I'll come back here and post.My reality does not equal your reality, but my reality is neither > nor < your reality.

Don't know if you are familiar with SBaGen or not, but I was looking through the stuff that comes with it when you download the zip file (do a web search if you haven't seen or used it before). In the Contrib folder, there's a file called "xota-powermed1-pink" that has some gamma at the beginning. I think that this would then be proof that gamma entrainment is possible. You can use the program to generate your own binaural beats. You can also save them as .wav files and then convert to MP3 for upload to a personal player such as Ipod. Hope this helps. My reality does not equal your reality, but my reality is neither > nor < your reality.

Read this Jeffrey Thompson article about Gamma, Hypergamma, Lambda and Epsilon frequencies:
Welcome to the Center for Neuroacoustic Research!
Epsilon is near 0.1 Hz and Lambda up to 200 hz!!

Interesting. I was getting polyphasic entrainment at >1hz and <30hz in the triadiac binaural I made a couple of years ago. I knew the effects were "out there" but didn't know if it was just me. Ever since then, I've been able to get my able to get my resting heartrate down to under 40bpm and I breathe about half as often but twice as deeply than most people.
There's been some other effects but I don't like to talk to much about those, people tend to jump to conclusions. I'll just say they're helpful. I haven't pushed the envelope much lately but I might just quickly throw together some 0.04hz, 0.08hz, 44hz and 88hz monophasic binaurals and have a little sound bath.
for the inspiration!Last edited by noises; 09-06-2010, 01:11 PM.“When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving a cross.”

So, here's a 127.2/132hz (4.8hz) binaural, mixed into a 528/528.04hz (0.04hz) binaural after a few minutes. I've added some ambient sound, water running in a stream, bird calls etc, local rainforest sounds actually, to help induce a more relaxed state of mind. Then you ride out both binaurals in a polyphase for a moment, before coming back to the 528/528.04hz 0.04hz binaural with ocean sounds and coastal wetland field recordings I picked up off a community commons website for audiophiles. I'll tell you now it's only ten minutes long, and you tell me if it doesn't seem longer.
Right click to save target as if you want to save this ten minute audio relaxation aid. A good visual image to hold is laying by a stream in the rainforest in a patch of golden sunlight. There's warm stone beneath you, golden light falling down onto you, cool water flowing beside you, fresh air moving through the trees around you and imagine you feel completely at peace. Please enjoy and share freely.

By the way Kevin, 528hz is a healing tone, it's not optimal for entrainment, but the frequency has it's other uses and it does the job of expressing the 0.04hz modulation at the same time. In a nutshell, it probably won't help much with the pain, though it should help alter your perception of pain and it will also induce what I believe is the optimum resonant frequency for physical repair and regrowth into your immediate environment.Last edited by noises; 09-06-2010, 03:20 PM.“When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving a cross.”

Every digit has an implicit meaning. Now I know most people would think twice if I added a decimal place and a .66hz to that 6hz tone, but I've only made a modal adjustment in harmonic proportion with 6hz itself, which is why I'd rather 4 or 8 hertz tone. 8 especially if I'm going for the bigger aha's, 4's are more earthy and grounding.
Anyway, I was thinking about the cerwin vega earthquake subs they made for the Sensurround theaters in the seventies in the states. Those things could put out 17hz at 110decibels, a sound the audience felt, as special effects in movies like Earthquake (after which the speakers were named.) I would love to feel110 decibels worth of 8 hz, bring it on!Last edited by noises; 09-06-2010, 04:29 PM.“When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving a cross.”
