ALL democracies eventually go broke when the people learn that they can vote for a living rather than doing any actual work.
The State raises taxes until there is a revolution. The Current governments have the power to create unlimited "currency". Rather that targeting people with extractive taxes, the State has resorted to the "inflation tax". The FED is trying to financially rescue everything and everyone.
