  • Meditation Destroys the Illusion of Life ;)

This phrase spontaneously occured to me earlier this morning, and I thought it was worth posting for possible discussion - there are at least two interpretations of it.

    it does

Sure it does, removes the life (illusion) created by the intellect. When the intellect becomes fully passive, one can see what is behind the illusion (world) created by this tool (intellect).
But even if one knows the truth, one is not able to make others to understand it, because the truth is beyond the capability of the intellect to comprehend.

    This:

    explains more.

Nicely said! We see things as they are instead of how our reasoning mind
      makes them out to be.

        Good points

        Also....

There's a possibility that becoming more spiritually aware - whether it's through meditation, or any altered state of awareness - could be like peaking behind the curtains of a puppet show... or going backstage during a magic act - or pulling Santa's beard off .

If life is an illusion - and one has to admit, it's a really effective one - and we (being God/ The Universe/ All That Is/ The Collective) have created this "virtual reality" environment to experience separation, individuality, and everything else that goes with projecting into a physical consciousness.... then pulling ourselves out of that consciousness to whatever extent we can, could be a bit like going to a masked ball, and removing masks...?

On the other hand, when the masks become too scary, to the point where we want to run screaming from the ball .... there may be benefit in peaking behind them, to remind oneself that none of it is real, it's just really good special effects.

Oooooohhhhh I've always been so TERRIBLE at meditating! I guess I've written to you several times about this theme, every time I write to you I tell you I'm off to TRY and meditate, something which I obviously NEVER succeed in carrying out humph!

It was suuuuuuuuuuuuch a relief to me when I read in Divine Openings that meditation is NOT NECESSARY to become *enlightened*, whatever that means. I guess it depends on your character, Pamela Sweda is an expert meditator and it only brings grrrreat things into her life!

I guess I just don't have a meditating character heehee!

On the other hand I'm having such a ball with the Process in Busting Loose and with Divine Openings, I don't feel like I'm missing a thing by not meditating! These 2 processes are soooooooooo powerful, along with Paths, that personally I don't feel that I need anything else at the moment!

Busting Loose is especially useful at reminding you that everything is an illusion and YOU created it all!

                Meditation is great.
I am an on again off again meditator. It does take practice to get "good" at it, ie making it habitual but it is necessary. We need to experience life as an observer and act in the best state of our being to be very happy. Meditation gets me to that silence within, which I call "the real me"!

Lol yes, possibly ... although.. even if it doesn't have a happy ending (many people in this world do have a complete life of suffering of course, one can't ignore that), one gets to leave the cinema afterwards and get back to "normality" - which is the spiritual state - whatever you believe that to be
