A volcano erupts in Iceland and puts enough junk into the air to shut down air traffic in Europe.
I wonder what Al Gore has to say about all this pollution?
I suppose he will probably want us to put a catalytic converter or something over the mouth of that volcano.
Or at the very least how many carbon credits will Iceland have to buy from the world bankers because they failed to prevent this prevent this enormous polluting of our air?

I know this thread isn't too serious so I'm not going to get treacherous about it either, however I will say a couple things.
1) Al Gore's data in 'An Incovenient Truth' was skewed and whether that was intentional or just plain incompetent I dont know. Either way, its poor form therefore I wouldn't put a great deal of stock in what the man has to say. This is not me saying that man IS NOT ruining the Earth, because he sure is. There are just plenty of other factors at play.
2) This volcano action is a good thing. It's the Earth's way of attempting to rebalance itself. Compared to all the cyanide and methyl/ethyl pollutants we humans pump into the streams/oceans/air daily thanks to big commerce, a volcanic discharge is 'green' with only good consequences. The Planet gets to reharmonize electrically and the finest ash particulants are windborne into the high atmosphere which plays an important part in regulating weather, not to mention the mineral rich components that fall back to earth recharging the hungry soil.

its an absolute joke to reduce green houses gases while 90% of everyone has NO choice but to drive theyre Constantly Polluting cars. You can cut down on plastic and light bulbs all you want...it wont fix a damn thing.

Do you guys realize 90 years from right now the world population will be DOUBLE. If the governments continue to supress all of theyre advanced technology like they have for the last 60-70 years, earth will be bone dry. Without anti-gravity or pertetual energy mankind will burn every chemical and element until theres nothing left to burn.

If Obama really cared about going green he would disclose theyre advanced energy generation technology. But he doesnt, what he advocates now is just a smoke screen. Which is kind of scary, they already know the end game, what are they waiting for?

The answer to why? Money Money Money. Milk the last dollar from every polluting resource this planet has so they can buy the very last can of extinct Beluga Caviar for 100K. The whole perpetual cycle of greed is insanity.

The really 'humorous' thing about it all is that filthy rich people are NOT happy (don't let the outer illusion fool you) and yet they are the ones driving the global engine of destructive power/wealth lust.

In the end they die and rot just like the poor do (often sooner and at their own hands). You really have to scratch your head sometimes.

It's really silly to believe that CO2 alone, is the cause of all Climate Change (Global Warming). On simple, single, plentiful and vital molecule, the only thing we need to change, to make everything better for people born a couple hundred years from now? Volcanoes and Wildfires will continue to pump huge volumes of CO2 into the atmosphere periodically, negating most of the effort of Team Gore. CO2 is a stepping stone, a way to get the foot in the door, and take control. It's only the beginning, if we don't slam that door shut fast.

Mankind hasn't been around long enough to know how this, or any other planet works. We have some observations, some good guesses, even unraveled a few facts. Mostly, we are just parasites along for the ride, with very little effect on our host. We can cover our living space with our waste and garbage, some seem to like that, but it has little to do with the course of the planet.

Water Vapor is the highest volume 'Greenhouse' gas, which seems to be more the logical choice for what regulates temperature and weather. Warmer temperatures bring more water vapor, which blocks the sun, cools the planet. The water vapor condenses, rains back down to the ground, letting in more sun. Didn't see much 'Global Warming' last winter, worst in decades.

Right on! It is all about control of the population.

They tell us about all these millions and billions of tons of CO2 that is being pumped into the air and that it will destroy the world as we know it if don’t allow them to have complete control over all aspect of our lives.

However if rather then of looking at CO2 in terms of these billion of tons, instead we look at it as what is its percentage in the air we find that it is a fraction of one percent. Yet we are being condition to run around like a chicken with its feet cut off screaming save us oh wise and powerful master.

I believe the warming, increase in CO2, earthquakes are all related to the planet's recovery from the last great Ice Age. Natural, normal, and we had nothing to do with it, nor can we do anything to effect it. We have to adjust and adapt to the changing planet, not try and change the course. There is still a lot of that ancient ice to melt, so we still have some recovery time to go. Everything will be a little chaotic for a few years, then settle down again. It's a big planet, tiny shifts for it, major earthquakes for us, since we are tiny and fragile.

Instead of focusing on how to change the world, and stop Global Warming (not a prayer), we should try and figure out how it was before the Ice Age, and work to adapt to that climate, since that is where we are heading. Figure hot and humid, like here in Florida. No big rush or crisis, it's only been about 15,000 years, likely a couple thousand more...

Why would a person who was automatically despised by 50% of the U.S. pop, be made BY THE CORPORATE-OWNED MAINSTREAM MEDIA into the most prominent spokesman for ANY "non-political" issue?

ANSWER:

To insure that this issue, like every other one, become fully politicized and polarized... To maintain division.

That's why.

As long as they have this issue to trump up constantly, there is little chance of the two most prominent and populous segments of the political spectrum who are in Dissent:

The "Left" true Progressives (meaning "non-Obamaites" who think he is just as bad as bush was)....

And the "Ron Paul Revolution" folks (Libertarians and others who could be termed on the "Right").

.... From coalescing into a huge and viable force that could challenge the "status quo" by getting around the 2 corporate parties. Because, we now agree on the most IMPORTANT issues. And things have gotten so bad, that there is hope for new a coalition of people from all over the political spectrum coming together, temporarily putting aside the old differences, who are willing to say:

"We must put aside the old arguments, until the Nation is safe to argue in again!"

Meaning to concentrate on that which we agree on (protection and Restoration of the Constitution and Rule of Law, ending the illegal and immoral wars of aggression, and a dozen other issues where we can see the nation has gone horrible wrong.. All of them not "Left/ Right" issues; but issue for all Americans).

This "GW" issue, is being pushed from BOTH SIDES behind the scenes as a red herring distraction. And behind BOTH SIDES, i'll bet we can find the hand of the energy cartels, the trans-national corporations, and the international banks who finance them (General Electric being an example of a corp that plays and funds both sides).

This is not to say, that millions of every-day people do not have their honest opinions on these subjects: It is how the debate is being HANDLED in the MSM that matters: IT IS NOT BEING PORTRAYED AS A TRUE SCIENTIFIC DEBATE.

Both sides now even agree on this!

Because this is how they also deflect the entire issue of REAL pollution, of monopoly energy, of economic enslavement. Once this "argument" is fought out in the kangaroo courts of our government legislatures, and nothing happens (... and nothing of real benefit to people will happen), the entire issue will become so disgusting and discredited, that they can just go on polluting and making obscene profits on energy with no "dangers" of real change happening.

The entire "global warming" scheme is a red herring to allow the energy cartels & their allies to maintain power. This is not saying there are real "truths", in my opinion, on both sides of this debate. But as long as the debate is channeled into "us and them" ... ON BOTH SIDES.... There will be no solution.

AND PLEASE NOTICE HOW THEY USE "US and THEM" !! It is actually a "tell", a giveaway... Of the old polarization and demonization schemes that have worked for centuries being used here again.

LOOK FOR THAT TECHNIQUE BEING USED!! It is being used every day, by "spokesmen" for both sides.

... And this "game" also insures there is no danger of the Dissenters forming a Coalition and gaining real political grass roots power.

It is a brilliant plan: And so far it is working perfectly.
