So I have been watching the video feed from the ROV which BP is streaming live for anyone to watch, and I was sitting, mesmerised, and found myself thinking, see the flow reducing. see the flow reducing. thank divine providence in advance for a miracle, sit here, watch this, see the flow reducing. For those of you who understand exactly what I'm doing, here's the link to the live feed. Please don't watch it and think "how dreadful, this is so bad." See the flow reducing. A rock clogging the bottom of the well, a piece of metal jammed in the pipe, some fluke that creates resistance and causes the flow of oil to be reduced. Send it love. Simple Fix

The Mexican Ixtoc 1 well (which spewed more than this one so far) was partially plugged by injecting 100,000 metal balls. Metal balls have some inherent problems: 1) This well would probably just blow them out; 2) Balls don't "grip" the pipe and aren't joined together so they're less likely to clog well. Chain is much better...may need miles of it, but it's cheap and easily available. Start with large links. Initially the chain may have to be forced in, but soon its own weight will pull it in. The large links will "grip" the pipe better than small links, and should clog at some point down the pipe, but won't block the flow as well as smaller links. Once it clogs and the flow is reduced, switch to smaller and smaller links. Follow up with finer material and cement.

OK the news yesterday, is that there is up to 70,000 PSI pressure behind the oil at the ocean floor.

A large steel "funnel", heavier than 70k pounds, with a hose going to the surface on the narrow end. Lower this huge steel cup-shaped thingie over the well head. Start pumping the oil into waiting tankers.

Steal a main turret from one of the "Missouri"-class WW2 Battleships (they are more than heavy enough); at least 2 of these ships are now floating museums on the east coast (one in Phily, one in North Carolina somewhere, i think there are others too, plus there is probably one in mothballs somewhere which may be best anyway)... Get rid of the 16" guns, weld-up the holes, affix the strong hose, and use that as the containment vessel "funnel". A very noble use for it.

It is a producing well.
That is what they wanted in the first place.
They had problems dropping their first funnels onto it, but they didn't use any guide rods.
They could drill some smaller holes around the wellhead and put expansion heads onto large metal rods, like expansion bolts into a concrete wall.
same principle.
Then they put the funnel in the middle. It is just like they bolt flanges together.
except they are flanging onto the rock.
The rock would have to be prepared first and the debris pushed back.
They use large nuts to tighten the funnel into place and they have a variety of compounds which would be suitable as a sealant where the flange bottom meets the rock.
They wouldn't even have to remove the BOP, just the pipe in the way.

Then they could pipe the stuff wherever they want from there...up to ships, to the shore, etc.
Let it continue to produce its 70000+ barrels per day and start drilling relief wells around it, then it eventually could be shut down safely.

Don't know why they are playing this retarded game they have been.
Unless the "accident" wasn't accidental, but who wants to think that.

While listening to a guy who is quite knowledgeable about the oil industry it does appear the golf oil spill was just an accident, if you consider gross negligence and incompetence and accident. His sources in the oil industry told him that those working on the platform said that there were a number of safety “problems”.

Also this was in a sense an experimental well in that it was an “extremely” deep well (25-30,000ft.) thus they didn’t know what kind of problems they might face. Now the Russians have drilled similar deep wells but of course they had the good sense to do it on dry land and not from a drill rig floating on a mile of ocean water. What was found at these deeps is freshly made abiotic oil, no dead dinosaurs or rotting plants but it’s at much higher pressures.

In a standard well the pressure might be around 1000 PSI. Here they have figured the pressure to be 20-70,000 PSi. This was far beyond what their wildest guess would have been and WAY more then their equipment was designed to handle, even if it was all perfectly maintained and in good working order.

So with that kind of pressure and the fact explosion appears to created oil leaks up to twenty miles away just how much oil is actually flowing into the Golf? Plus there is more then just oil escaping, there is also hydrogen sulfide, benzene, and methylene chloride. All nasty stuff that you don’t want to breathe, but which has already gone beyond what is considered save levels in the area. Surprisingly or not the MSM has had little to say about this

So with these pressures simply covering it or putting a cork in it will not work. Sealing it using a nuclear device seems to be the only real option, but that is hardly risk free. Because what if it does not seal the hole and instead just makes it bigger?

This is turning out turning out to be a much bigger oops then just a few oil soaked beaches.

More bad news...

Oil has now been seen leaking from the seafloor which implies that the well casing is compromised below the seafloor.

BP said that the top-kill failed because mud was leaking out into the formation outside the well casing. This is apparently why they cut the top off of the BOP and INCREASED the flow of oil to relieve back pressure on the well casing itself.

This means that there is no effective way to "plug" this well from the top and we are dependent on the relief wells (still months away) or a nuke which has the potential of making this much much worse.

If the well casing fails completely and this blows out before the relief wells are dug, it's game over.

If I lived in the Gulf area, I would already be preparing to leave permanently and especially before hurricane season gets cranked up!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and I hope this is incorrect in some way, but I feel it is much better to be in a state of knowing rather than ignorance as this is going to affect us all (directly or indirectly).

I'm not a supporter of President Obama. I have criticized many of his decisions, and will continue to do so when I disagree with them. I do not in any way blame him for the BP oil spill, nor do I hold him responsible for stopping it. He's the POTUS, not a scientist, engineer or deep water oil well specialist. His only choice is to trust that those who are will provide the safest and most viable solutions. I'm relatively certain that I do not stand alone in my thoughts on the matter.

Well, its pretty hard to trust these people on this subject... But the USCG says no more spraying since about 1 day after the capping (like 2 weeks ago). Also, they say the illegal and highly dangerous Burning stopped about 1 week before that. That's when the US government published the "final" figures of "1.8 million gallons" of corexit dispersant having been sprayed or dumped (a figure that is KNOWN to be wrong, it is probably closer to 2.2 million from the amount of depleted stocks, and from eye witness accounts of spraying that was NOT listed in their reports, some of it done by the US government ITSELF).

Lol, the government also said that not only is the oil/dispersant mix NOT in the Gulf Stream, but they said it WILL NEVER BE in the GS.... hehehe, incredibly un-scientific and totally unbelievable; ANYONE could tell you that of course it at least some if it would make it into the 'Stream as it is inevitable... It only proves how blatant their lies are in this matter.

And i SAW IT MYSELF... so i know that story put out by NOAA was total BS (lol it came out 2 days after my widely-made announcement, too short a time for them to analyze the sample i gave the Coast Guard).
