Very interesting and they need to send a geological survey ship with calibrated sonar there to check it out just in case... as data from one buoy out of the hundreds or even thousands all over the oceans could well be wrong. Or, there could be a rising "bubble" of magma under the surface there in that particular area (which might also explain a local difference in water temp too). If there is a thermal vent forming there (one of thousands throughout the oceans), it should be detectable.

I think what would be a "disaster", is if everyone said to themselves :"Eh, we are all fated to be destroyed anyway in a couple of years, i might as well spend my time on the couch, have a beer, and watch TV".
There is no "fate". There is only us and what we do with our lives. -
Wise words, jibbguy. I for one am thinking it might be another volcano starting up. Severe but not cataclysmic. And I'm going to keep experimenting until the end, because that's what I do.Comment
