I have had good experience with it over the years.

IMO, there are many other items that work better for infections, health maintenance.

The one thing I like is that the silver we use can be sprayed into the eyes and can be very soothing if they have been irritated...don't know anything else that works on the eyes as good.

We have a horse that has a congenital eye issue, Mary started using the silver spray in his eyes and they are MUCH improved.

There appears to be a huge difference between ionic silver and colloidal silver...they are not the same thing.
Ionic silver is a good compound, with lots of anti-microbial properties, but it has a shelf life and is photo-reactive.
If the particles are too big then they are not very efficacious.
And too much will cause you to turn grey/blue....permanently.
Colloidal silver, on the other hand has all the same properties of ionic silver and then some, particularly if the particles are very small (under 100 nm), as the smaller the particles the more effective the compound is against virus's as some virus's are very small.
True colloidal silver is not reactive and has an infinite shelf life.

Interesting topic. From what I've read silver will kill most any virus, bacteria or fungus in a petri dish. My dad used it to cure a skin fungus on his hand. He had tried everything that the local dermatologist had reccommended to no availe. So he began looking for alternative solutions. After years of trying various remedies, he tried silver and silver worked. He did not drink colloidal siver, he rubbed some kind of silver paste on his skin where the fungus was growing.

As for drinking colloidal silver, I'm also curious to know if it really works and how to use it properly.
