Thank you Sharyn and Maggie! It was a great moment, delicate little friend it was! oh gosh Sharyn you're right the camera is v heavy and normally if I try a 1 handed pic it comes out terrible! For some reason it came out clearer than I thought. I was pleased I took it then at the time I did wonder why I was taking it! Glad I did now I saw it this morning and it gave me a lot of peace I know what you mean Sharyn about tingly hands at first I didn't want to do a lot because it felt weird touching things etc and was really careful what I did with my hands like they were precious hehe I guess they are but it passes I think at least mine just feel normal now unless I'm actually "switching it on".

Hi Maggie! I sent you a pm Wow the dragonfly on your foot that's SO cool! It must have been really happy to spend so much time there, I really love them! They're like magic aren't they. Once and I'm not kidding I was lying on my back (this spring) in the grass chilling out in the wilderness next to a pond and I could hear this sound very strange like ffffft! and I opened my eyes just in time to see an enormous dragonfly fly over the top of me, what a view! It was so cool being so relaxed and seeing it from underneath and everything was quiet so could hear it, very amazing! It was like a mini helicopter - biggest one I ever saw.

I have a couple of questions please. Grr other people! Firstly I was going to ask on here about giving Reiki to a baby. My friend I hadn't heard in the longest time rang me today to say she had a baby, and he was 12 weeks premature. He is ok thankfully, and he is now a good weight and 2 months old. However she wanted to have some healing done for herself and baby and it came to £80 so she said she'd leave it as she has no money, then I said I could possibly try some Reiki if it would help. I want to ask is it ok to give a baby Reiki? I know it can't do harm, just wanted to ask.

Also, I told a friend about the baby and me learning Reiki in passing and he said I shouldn't do it on someone so young Because his wife does shiatsu (not sure what that is) and she was not allowed to do it on a person with cancer because it was dangerous to mess with the energies he said. I replied I found that really odd, because these things should be healing and often these problems get cured by the healing and can't get worse by it I didn't think!

Next thing, sis comes home for an hour (don't really get along with her, she tries to put me down alot) and said she'd heard I'd learnt Reiki she didn't seem very happy at all when I said it was done remotely She frowned and said that is not right, can't do the chakra cleaning etc so as best as I could I explained it went very well and that Maggie is a wonderful caring person who has looked after me and supported me sooo much. Still she frowned lol anyway she then said, be careful because she has not taught you any protection (I replied I'd read online that protection part comes from Reiki level 2?) and she said you must learn protection! And that I am not allowed to practise on anyone else! because it could go horribly wrong w/out protection etc! Honestly, I said I am doing this for myself I am not treating others And I know people are treating others and healing headaches etc just their partners not as a job.

So, I am sending them lots of healing thoughts But I thought I'd post on here because that is what they reported to me And also because what did she mean by protection? Protection from what exactly?! I did read it online and got a little worried but hope it is nothing to worry about

This is not a Reiki protection, but it is a basic protection that works 100% of the time and it is very simple to do.
Close your eyes for a brief moment, take a deep breath and let it out slowly, imagine yourself inside of a light bulb, completely surround by this brilliant white light. Next, surround the other person with this same white light.
White hold the full spectrum of colors and nothing negative can pass through it. If anything enter your white light field it turns from negative to positive. We use it for everything! Always white light yourself first, then white light your subject or person next.
I taught this back in my Psychic classes back in the 80"s and it never fails!!!!!
Sometimes when I white ligth someone, I get carried away and end up white light the country, then the world, then the universe and on and on.....

Also, I just white lighted your sister, i think she needs it

Reiki Questions

Hi S.J. The following answers are given as MHO - so if they feel right for you -you know what I say!

We know that there are questions regarding Distant Reiki attunements and training sessions - but as I have said in the past - energy is not limited by time or space and since we are all One....you know where I am going with this, right IF evidence was given to you when you received your attunement focus on that, knowing that what you experienced was true and right, regardless of what nathsayers might try to speak - your heart knows!!

When it comes to giving Reiki to anyone it is always following your own knowing and intuition that matters most here. I have often offered Reiki to small children and babies - by telling them I would love to give them some healing energy if they want it - I do this speaking to their spirit and instinctively you will know. Of course giving Reiki to little ones is very different in that merely holding a hand on them or rubbing their back with intent is all that is needed for them. I don't know a kid around who would sit or lay long enough to have a full body treatment
I will send more detailed info to our PI forum as well.
Shaitsu is a form of massage and if I am remembering correctly it is a deep muscle application that can be quite intense - IMHO I do not compare this to Reiki at all - but perhaps others on this forum know more about it and can offer more info.

As for the protection question, Keoi has offered a wonderful visualisation that would be fine. I have more lesson info I had planned on sending to you -but again you got ahead of me Whenever we do a Reiki session with anyone it is always comforting to focus on white light and intent for the good of all. I do not believe we need to concern ourselves with a lot of protection believing as we do that we create by what we focus on. Reiki is not an energy based on fear but on love and compassion and the 5 principles are important to remember always.

I agree with Keoi in sending white light energy to your sister - it does seem as if she needs to redirect her focus [IMHO].

I will be sending a package of information to both you and Sharyn tomorrow along with a White Light Energy visual to focus on.

thank you so much for explaining. I just wanted to re-assure you I am not at all worried about the distant attunement it's just sis will pick up what she can to pick on - not sure why I posted that bit now maybe was just wanting to get it off my chest or something. Whenever I get little quirks like that I know I get it from them (family) as I remember a time when I was worry free and happy up until the age of 6 when family came down on me like a tonne of bricks and since I've discovered the LOA etc I've been working on getting back to my sweet 6 yrs old self. If I showed you pics of us as kids you would understand more what our relationship was like (getting evil looks off the rest, me smiling sweetly and innocently) I wish I'd written it in my journal now, I really don't like see it on here lol! Sis wingeing in one of my most fav threads! My fault I guess she still gets at me a lil even after all the internal healing I've done! But it's good to share too because then I get advice and it feels good to halve things as long as I don't bring down the vibe. Thing is I forgot to say, when I said I wanted to learn Reiki some 3 yrs ago just in passing, sis leapt at it and said she did too and she found an angelic reiki course. She did it with a teacher who lived by her, some few hours away she had just moved there and it was a long course, so I wasn't able to go. She wouldn't share what she learnt so I was still in the dark about attunements etc But from what she said she doesn't use or practise it. Her master well I'm glad I didn't go to him now - he's the one that told her a lot of spooky stories and worries about it probably why she doesn't use it, what a shame. She's probably just miffed I had it done so quickly or something silly, who knows how sis works LOL. I'm fully confident about my attunement - no worries there hun! I've written it too in here and in the pi forum, yes my heart knows

It's very difficult for me to live here, am surrounded by nonsayers on every level so as soon as I can find a place of my own it will be SO much better I just need to afford it lol.

Thanks for explaining to me about the baby, I think he will like it because as soon as she mentioned the baby I thought "he would like some Reiki I just know it" - and then of course she mentioned wanting healing. I think it will help to just try to give him some healing and see how he reacts or how it feels yes/no. Play it by feel Does that sound right?

I agree about shiatsu, now he is one of my closest friends and I was suprises he turned negatively on me but I guess he's thinking of the baby which is nice. I said to him from glancing at your partners file that time when she was showing me briefly, it's a whole different kettle of fish from Reiki but I thanked him for his opinion and said I'd look into it. I think I just felt a bit squashed yesterday by other people's opinions all the time, they are "rowers of the upstream" and they think I'm *fill in the blank* because I row downstream and they don't think I worry half as much as I should so they try to make me and when I don't they tell me how to worry by vocally doing it for me! They don't believe in the loa, they have seen the secret and initially liked it until sis told them it was hogwash (now that really annoyed me because they were loving the secret and happy for the first time and when sis told them it wasn't true because there are other laws they had tears in their eyes from the upset but they wouldn't believe me! even when they see it does work me) I can cope with it a lot and I sent them love and ignore it but I do so wish they wouldn't try to boss me around as they do. Anyway enough moaning I'm sorry I just feel like I grow, then get stamped on, grow, then get stamped on. It's hard. The other day my father said he think's I'm a waster and that the rest of the family agree with him. Now that was hard, and I did say well you're entitled to your opinion...and I don't spend time with as much as poss (in here on puter, door shut) but the atmosphere isn't nice. They said they want me out, but I am sooo skint it's unreal. Gah. I'm moaning again. SO sorry. I guess I'm just tired of this whole situation. And looking forward to the time when I can rent my own little apartment WOw, that will be a great day

I think that you do a marvellous job of staying positive,showing appreciation for what is around you & have a lovely & caring soul, especially when you seem surrounded by so much negativity. It is a pity that your family cannot see & appreciate the talents that you so clearly display, but then that is their loss. There are always some people who are uncomfortable having a star amongst their midst & feel the need to tarnish & dim the lustre!

I'm intending that you will soon be financially able to move to the perfect place of your own,surrounded by your lovely plants with loads of space to display all your fantastic photographs with like minded friends to support you.

You've just reminded me that it is time to go & watch my Theatre too, I got sidetracked!

Thanks you for your intentions for me I REALLY appreciate it. I am learning more that I can open up and say what's bothering me and not get into trouble for it. Everyone deals with negativity in their lives - but it just gives us the view of the contrast and enables us to know what we truly want and do not want. Along with Sharyn, I am intending and visualizing you in your own special little apartment surrounded by plants and those lovely, lovely pictures of yours.

You are truly a star and sometimes the brightness of a star can bring a light of truth to its surroundings. Often it is not what we say or do -but simply our presence that can make some uncomfortable depending on where their focus lies.

I was listening to the firethegrid you tube vid's this morning and I can't imagine how amazing it will be for the indigo children when they take over. It kinda made me feel a bit sad for all the people like us who've had to go through so much rubbish but then I thought it could be worse, the people before us who passed on didn't get hardly any joy and we can have as much as want as we're enlightened. No more pity party

Hi, Moxie and others ... I just found the thread on Reiki. Is it too late to join or are you planning on doing another class?

Several years ago, I had level one and then a few months later a physic attunement. I didn't go further because the master insisted that I charge people money for anything I did, and I didn't want to do that. There is no one is my life now who is familiar with Reiki, so I've let it drift by the wayside. I would be so happy to return!

Welcome to the Reiki thread! So glad you found us. Over the past month or so a group of seven have been working with me on Reiki Level 1. We are in the process of attunements and chakra clearing. This has been an amazing learning and sharing experience for us all.
I am certainly open to anything the universe brings my way regarding another class.
As for your past experience regarding Reiki and the Master insisting on money being paid - this is something we have discussed in our group. It is my belief that there needs to be an exchange of energy as Masters have been taught the need for participants to take responsibility and make a committment to their own growth and healing.
I do not set fees or charge money [unless someone wants to exchange energy in that way]. What we have found in this group is that the exchange of energy each person is sharing has been incredible and special and each has been intuitively led with what that means for them.

If you are interested in pursuing Reiki with me, lets agree to put it out to the universe and see what flows our way. Looking forward to chatting with you further.

I love the "exchange of energy" concept because, indeed, although money is energy (and I would certainly welcome more energy like that in my life), it does manifest in an unlimited number of forms.

Hi everyone. What an experience with Reiki I had today! I went to see my friend with the 12 week premature baby. He's now 2 months old, and doing well For some reason I just knew this baby wanted Reiki, right from the moment my friend mentioned the baby and then healing on the phone. I decided to see what happened, and take it from there. When I arrived the baby was upset, but when handed to me he quietened down right away which I didn't expect. My friend commented he must like me, because he was being so good and calm He fell asleep right away. Then, he woke for his food and after he was uncomfortable. I haven't been able to do Reiki on others, so I asked my friend for permission to try give some to the baby and she said yes. Now this is the thing, she asked what it was so I showed her briefly on her hand just for a second or two. I couldn't really feel anything when I do it, just the odd lil tingle not much. And when I do it on myself I feel a little heat but sometimes not sure. But my friend went wide eyed and said WOW! I can feel heat and it's tingling!! I was over the moon with her comment! She asked me to give some to the baby and I got the idea to put one hand over his scalp and the other on his back as I held him. WOW. I could feel the energy pulsing through my hands like never before. He must've really liked it, because he fell asleep and he stayed contented right up until I went. My friend wants me on tap LOL I gave him Reiki for about 5minutes max until he woke a little and wriggled, then fell asleep again which I took as a sign he had enough. It was just amazing to help a baby like that. I felt so honoured and priviliged to help. And my friend wants to learn now too! She's a vet nurse so she will be able to help the animals during and after surgery. She'd never heard of Reiki before, it was a great chat
