What a shining example we set for the world no? This quote is PRETTY close to my mindset about Washington, particularly when listening to the governmental griping about these leaks. Our government is out of any semblance of control or oversight and in the hands of bankers and multinationals. What better way than this to shed light into the closet.

I have to wonder if there is more going on here then meets the eye. On the surface of it airing all this dirty linen may seem like a good thing. But this is an awful lot of data. That someone could have casually down loaded all this data and not raise at least a few eyebrows is hard to believe, unless this data contained some specific information that was being purposely leaked to Julian.
Could this be nothing more then an elaborate plan to get the public to accept or even call for some action that they would normally be opposed to?

That is what some others think also, my thought was that is was a Deal after the leaking Irak Doc's.
But i am not really sure about it, probatly, there are some Docs what are manipulated, but at all, they are all pretty uncensored.
Right now, Amazon US cancels her Space on her Servers,
there is still the detention order about him, where it is pretty obvious, that it is faked, and he is mainly blamed as a Troublemaker.
Still shows anyhow how much Gouvernments appreciate Transparency.

There is quite a controversy regarding this guy now. It is a difficult thing to sort out, both sides have some very good points.

Yesterday i saw something from an unexpected source weighing in on it, Greg Palast. Some of you may be familiar with him, he is the most respected Independent Journalist we have who has broken many important stories... in fact imo, he is one of only a HANDFUL of people who can really use the title "Journalist" now, without dragging it through a manure pile.

Anyway, what he said was this: That Assange was a prancing pony, who did'nt give a crap about his Source (who is being given up by EVERYBODY who publishes the data to over 50 years in prison... he is a 22 year old Corporal in the Army). It IS TRUE that no one has said a damned thing to help this young guy, and he IS going to go to prison for more than 50 years.

Palast says that the fact that Assange and everyone else refuses to lift a finger to help this young guy who provided the data, shows that he's a phony.

There is something there to that i think; but it also does not prove Assange is "CIA" as many in the "truth" movements claim.... lol it may only mean that he is a self-serving jerk; but that does not really matter to what information he releases.

There are plenty of scenarios possible here:

1) That SOME of it was "sheep dipped" to go out into the public, especially the stuff that paints Iran and Pakistan as "dangerous" (to help with drum beating for more wars).

2) That it is ALL B-S put out by the CIA... Whether Assange is then an "agent" or was simply duped into doing it for them, is another question.

3) Assange and the data is totally "correct" (meaning he is "as claimed"), and the data was released against the CIA's wishes.

Well now, Mr Lieberman... If the US governement has nothing to hide, it has nothing to worry about from wiki leaks. It's only the criminals in government who need to worry about whistle blowers, right? If you're acting within your mandates and not doing anything untoward at all, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE.
