  • Dear I'm Still Online Diary,

Today I rode motorcycles, rolled around in the grass with dogs, played some guitar at an open mic and had fresh salt and pepper squid for dinner.

Also saw a story about how Anon (the force of human nature whom HBGary tried an failed to shut down,) told quote "the racist, islamaphobic, mysoginistic mouthbreathers from the Westboro Baptist Church: Stop it. Or else."

I find that both cryptic and exciting. Not only have Anonymous remained active after the clearly overpaid people at HBGary said "we've identified Anonymous, the feds are arresting them right now," but they're also still out there standing up to governments, churches and companies who think they have a right to persecute people, and persecuting them right back for their own ironic amusement. It's not exactly meeting hate with love, aggression with compassion, or intolerance with tolerance, but it's something.

    • Here's a link to the open letter published on one of the anon websites, re westboro.

      AnonNews.org : Everything Anonymous

If you don't have the time to read it, basically what it says is this,

      Dear Religious Fanatics,

Everybody is free to express. Nobody is free to repress.

      Love, anon.

      WE ARE LEGION.
      EXPECT US.

      • Ok, so it seems, Anons didn't issues the warning to the WBC, the WBC did, pretending they were Anon. And Anons called them on it and said "you're not worth it. Go away." But they didn't, they goaded Anon some more, even put on their God Hates Fags website "God hates hackers.' Man, their good hates a lot of people.

Anyway, after a week of crying wolf, anons quickly whipped in and humstrung the church's webpage, growled at it, then wandered off to stalk a moose. Or something. In any case, it's a good lesson on why attention seeking isn't always the smartest thing to do.

But that's not why I' here... You know Chiina? Communist country, hates freedom? well, Chinese hackers have spent the last month systematically pillaging the networks of some of the world's largest oil companies, (most are strongly pro-capitalism because well, what's the good of being a multi billion dollar corporation if you can't buy off, bribe or otherwise tempt elected officials to do your bidding?) (not saying communism is the answer, just saying, capitalism is doing a spectacular job of failing everyone except the super rich, but nobody notices.)

ANYWAY! before I so rudely interrupted myself, I was saying about the chinese hackers who've been ghosting around oil company networks... why?? Looking for evidence of dirty tricks. Looking for evidence of repressed technologies. Looking for ANYTHING that can be used to break the chokehold fossil fuel lobbys have on governement.

Oil giants downed by Chinese hackers named - Techworld.com

Incredible, isn't it. The culture of hacking and leaking is doing more to bring down corrupt corporatocracy and promote democracy than ANY government or army has done in the last 90 or so years. Bless their cotton socks. Viva Freedom.

        • Oh, also, just quietly...

The fight for free speech on the internet turned 15 on 1st Feb 2011. This link takes you to a usenet archive (Usenet = what people were using before web browsers were invented,) of the document posted by Electronic Frontier Foundation in response to the US CDA Bill in 1996. It's essentially the first declaration of online rights.

The CDA act sought to turn the internet into a G rated childrens library room where you couldn't even publish some excerpts of the King James Bible, because they'd be deemed obscene, you couldn't publish a picture of the mona lisa because it would infringe on copyright; and to make matters worse, it was even obtuse in terms of what other violations it implied might apply, and what the penalties for any breaches might happen to be.

The response was a global move to have website owners include an EFF Blue Ribbon for free speech on their websites. I remember zinging off emails to websites I used that contained HYPERLINKS (omg!) and even using advanced computer hacking skills to post the bmp image of the blue ribbon in the early chat rooms I frequented online! (yep, I'm an oldschool advocate for online rights. been fighting for this stuff since there was an internet.)

At the peak of the blue ribbon campaign, you could find millions of web pages that carried a blue ribbon graphic somewhere on the homepage. In fact, the only sites you didn't find it tended to be government websites. It was a massivley popular movement that sought to extend the 1st amendment right to freedom of the press, free association and free speech and the rights assured to all people under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to all people and content on the internet.

15 years on, where are we? Well, Jullian Assange is about to be extradited to Sweden, so the US can get their hands on him. Egypt had their governemnt overthrown with hundreds of people paying with their lives for the most simple online right, the right to access information without interference. And a company in the US who the Govt has paid to use the internet to spy on people was hacked into and had their emails dumped online for everyone to read, while congress voted on a net neutrality bill which is just another word for censorship, and Ireland snuck in copyright laws for the same powerful, wealthy media corporation lobbyists who've been funding the fight to censor the web all along.

The fight for freedom online, for EVERYONE online, is still savage and real. There are moderates expressing views, freedom fighters, repression, censorship, penetration, revolution, hactivism, leaking and even full blown takedowns of sites, both officially sanctioned, even complete without sanction. And that's just THIS MONTH. It's not a won war. it's not even clear if it's ever going to stop being a war. An online war of information, about the most basic freedoms, with real bodies in real morgues and real jail cells around the world, even today.

A 15 year long war that never gets reported ... thought you guys would be interested, because you seem to love hearing about things that are covered up and not disclosed.

Or does that only apply to...

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY TO THE WORLWIDE FIGHT BETWEEN PEOPLE AND OUR GOVERNMENTS
FOR FREE SPEECH AND FREE PRESS ONLINE FOR ALL THE WORLD'S PEOPLE

We'll never stop fighting for YOUR freedom.

            • BOA docs to be released?

Anonymous group say they have the docs about BOA and will
              release them after this weekend:

Bank of America Shareholders Get Ready for the Ride | WallStNation.com

But just 'docs' isn't what Assange is supposed to have. I thought he had
an entire hard drive from an exec's computer. Perhaps both are true.

I wonder if George Soros is really behind wikileaks:
Bretton Woods 2.0: Soros New World Order Conference

In any case, interesting to see if the July 14th movement
                makes the mainstream news:
Prepare For Revolution: The Empire State Rebellion Begins on June 14th | The Public Record

"So on this Flag Day, as we once again confront tyranny, let’s all stand up for ourselves in a decentralized manner and launch our own revolt. We’ve been talking with several organizations about turning the “Empire State Rebellion” into a reality by organizing a peaceful mass demonstration throughout New York’s Financial District – from Wall Street to the NY Federal Reserve, to the corporate offices of the six big banks and the ratings agencies. On June 14th, we will launch a massive display of non-violent force with this list of demands: End the “campaign finance and lobbying racket,” “break up the banks,” “enforce RICO laws” against the “organized criminal class,” and order “Ben Bernanke to step down.”

June 14th will also be a day when people who haven’t already moved their money out of the big banks finally withdraw their funds. The silver movement will have a “Buy Silver Day.” There will be many different actions from many different people."
                Sincerely,
                Aaron Murakami

                • Thanks for that link Aaron, an interesting read.
I have heard lately about Soros and what he did do to several Countrys,
just not the Storys behind, but i think more he's doing it over the Market and the System as over Whistleblower.
And that he is more the second Head rom the Snake, what exploits the System,
and bring other Systems down. What actually shows, how unstable this all is actually build.
Recently there are some Videos in German where they show US Soldiers killing Kids and drill holes into someones legs.
All Informations, what they may dont would like to Show,
or the retired Crowley, Philip J. Crowley - Former Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs (May 2009 to March 2011) - WhoRunsGov.com/TheWashingtonPost
                  after he criticised the Decisions.
I am still in Doubt, if Assange or the leaked Informations are reliable,
but if they bring im out of Sweden, i am sure, that he dont stay as a free Man.
