That is supposed to be used in the context when someone has a

    • But...but... It works in a certain Way.
Just figure when you have a psychical sick Person,
and you distract him from his Problems, they will almost disappear.

Or the Salesman at the Door or at the Phone,
ignore him and he will disappear too

Seriously, it works at a certain Way,
and anyhow i think, it is a natural Way of self protection,
because when you see something, what you dislike,
like it is a Flower a Stone or even a long Walk,
when you dont waste Energy on it, how hard it is,
or how ugly, it will dissapear from your Mind,
and anyhow it works at Persons in a Group too,
ignoring them almost and they will disappear from the Enviroment.
Theorizer are like High Voltage. A lot hot Air with no Power behind but they are the dead of applied Work and Ideas.

      • Joit you raise a good point., I see it now, but I still disagree. I think there are others putting in more than enough energy and attention for this to not go away.

It's no good to just pretend there's nothing wrong when people are so obviously working so hard to make things wrong, but I also get Aaron's point that it's just as futile, perhaps more so, to feel powerless to effect change (for whatever reason.) My energy and attention is going to what I can do do to help stop censorship and keep information free, to speak out for human rights and for liberty.

It's a fact, an obvious fact, that regardless of what you think or have been told to think of the players and their moves, a play is in process. The objective of the play appears to be to place censorship on the net, everywhere, to protect the financial interests of the entertainment industry (which really, is owned by the same couple of guys who own all of the corporate media,) and further their agenda of dumbing down the consuming masses to keep us pliant. Opposing this play are underground groups on the internet, free press organisations, human rights advocates, lawyers... I've done the list before. One way or another, each of these two groups is going to stop the other from scoring points. I'm saying picking a side and being active is an important part of influencing the outcome. Besides the attitude and intention, it's the most important part. and I tink the intention of the resisting oppression, regulation and censorship has that point won already, morally speaking. another important part is quite litterally, counter propaganda, which is my intention here. (counter prop ops are designed to challenge the prop ops of the enemy directly, to use evidence and logic to encourage others to think for themselves, not have their opinions broadcast to them on the nightly news.) I love that I can do that here and not get shouted down. I love that you guys do think for yourselves.

Anyway, this play and the people behind don't stop just because we don't focus our intention on their actions. Indeed, not paying any attention is the second most helpful thing you could do to help them bring in censorship. The most helpful thing you could do, obviously, is help build up the fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) surrounding wikileaks. There are enough people already focusing their attention on this play with the aim of making it happen for it to happen without any help from you or me. My point is, I feel like people need to show some solidarity so we have the guts to stand up in the open and say a firm, non violent NO to censorship.

I'm encouraged by news of people like senator Ron Wyden (Wyden squashes internet censorship bill - BlueOregon) who are using their positions in the system to resist. I'm encouraged by the statements coming off youtube from anonymous (yesterday they practically declared the internet to be an thinking, autonomous entity deserving of it's own unique rights, man, that was awesome.) I'm glad to see there's even people in the media risking their jobs to speak our for free speech and a free press. What this tells me is this is a fight, literally, between unseen, secretive conspirators and a unified, stateless, borderless mass of humanity. This is shaping up to be an epoch defining time i nworld history. Books will be writtten about what happens in the next couple of months. I don't intend to take a backseat and watch it happen, and I don't intend to let anyone miss the gravity of what's taking place on the internet RIGHT NOW.

I could just be high off all the spraypaint from operation paperstorm,, but I really do feel like this is an important issue, and it's not enough to look the other way and hope only good things happen. Even if it's only little things, I'm going to MAKE things happen. (censored things )

My point is, this fight is on. We didn't start it, but that's not important any more, only winning is. It's all in, and it's already dirty as all get out. Challenging their play isn't facilitating it, or giving it energy it would starve without. It is a matter of personal choice though. I just happen to believe it's a very important battle, one that I want to take part in. I've put the rights of people before the rights of companies or countries my whole life. I'm not about to stop.

Information = ammunition. I'm just passing out the clips.

        • all along, has not the problem been, that the little guy can't have a big idea heard any more? That we don't get to hear anything but the mass produced, mass marketed mindlessness? Newspaper readership is dropping. More and more people are switching off pay tv and tuning out of herd mentalities. The old media has made itself redundant to these people and the internet has exploded with their shared wisdoms and truths.

And people want to slap shackles on that and get me back in the pasture, standing around waiting to be milked all day? I'll pass. All the evidence is in to tell us filters don't really work when it comes to regulating the internet anyway. It's too adaptive. Most people seem to be able to find whatever they're looking for at the moment, anyway. If there looking for, or hosting something that infringes on anyone else's rights as a human being, I'm all for that being dealt with at a local, or national level. Beyond that, if we don't like it, it seems at least we can move to Iceland.

I like it fine where I am, so I guess I'll just have to speak up for web of information and social networks that have contributed so much raw data to my growth as a person, and by proxy, the birthrights under article 19 of the declaration of human rights of every person connected to the internet.

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers
I don't like everything the UN does, but their laws can be made into a weapon to use to defend yourself from oppressive laws, in most countries. So that's what I'm going to do. It's a cut and dried case against any type of censorship in my country. I believe it should be in yours too, in addition to your rights under the constitution.

I agree. This is a far more of an important issue then many people seem to believe. Without true freedom of speech everything else is pretty much meaningless.
Unfortunately many seem to think that freedom of speech extend only to the point were you might offend someone else. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The whole purpose of freedom of speech is to be able to tell someone something that they might not want to hear or agree with.

                  • FCC Passes Net Neutrality Proposal | C-SPAN

There's the FCC meeting where a committee from the FCC passed Net Neutrality laws, without any mentioning of filtering or blacklisting. It's 2.5 hours, I'm just finding the first mention of open internet at around 34 minutes, and it's not too distressing. As far as I know, it's three months until what the FCC decided pass into law. Not a mention of wikileaks, and a tacit declaration recognising and protecting the openness of the internet.

49 minutes in, FCC Commissioner Copp starts speaking, what he says gives me all kinds of hope that if there is a massive conspiracy to restrict the free internet, there's even more massive resistance to such censorship, at all levels of society.

                      • I watched that video and it is apparent why many in government don’t like him. He is obviously a totally out of control rebel. I mean imagine believing that freedom of speech and the freedom of the press are something worth saving. And when he talks he is able to he is able to put two, three and more sentences together and have them make sense. Plus he does this without the aid of a teleprompter. There is no question that people like this are truly dangerous and must be stopped before their radical ideas start effecting the dumbed down sheeple.
