  • Investigation into death of Notorious B.I.G. heats up

Biggy and Tupac spent their lives trying to escape gang violence for themselves and bring the issue to light to help those stuck in the situation.

There is no way they would have killed each other over it imo. Biggie himself was homeless before he made it big. I don't think he'd be throwing his success away over a petty feud.

Both of these artists had personally experienced some really rough sides of life and both, especially Tupac were extremely eloquent at expressing themselves.

Biggie seemed especially interested in squashing violence and Tupac seemed especially interested in speaking his truth (and was so very skilled at doing so) and not being afraid to speak out about things.

(My point in the last vid is that Tupac's struggle was with "the establishment" not his fellow artists.)

Two interesting things here, both of those guys seemed fascinated with death and it was prevalent in their songs. also, neither murder has been solved. Maybe not uncommon for 2pac being killed on the west coast but murders in NY are usually solved I believe.

Also two other prominent rap figures have been murdered in New York, Big L and Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC, both of which have also gone unsolved.

It's weird, in video from the first link in the thread this guy is shown to be beaten/stomped and then they show him right afterward and he looked totally fine.

Biggie and Tupac were tough enough to survive their rough upbringings. They lived to tell about their brushes with death growing up in violent and impoverished settings. But it seems the things they lived to tell about once they got out of those settings and got popular enough were the things that ended up threatening their lives most of all.
