Good post on the education - to this day that goal is still followed closely.
Here is the 10 "planks" of the Communist Manifesto:
The section ends by outlining a set of short-term demands:
makes it easy to pass on their dumb making agendas throughout the
country. The proof is in the reality of our standing as a nation in the
educational department.
Education can still be "free" on a purely state by state level where every
state, based on what their own voters want, can determine their own
educational methods. That way, there is a LOT of creativity that will
spawn from that and amazing things happen when people are allowed to
think for themselves.
Obviously almost all of the other keypoints in the communist manifesto
have been closely stuck to by from the federal govt under the control of
the banks.
If the communist manifesto didn't exist and people wanted to know the
guidelines of how to turn a free country into a dictatorship, they could
simply jot down everything the American federal govt has been doing for
the last several generations.
Anyway, some of Ron Paul's comments:
http://www.ronpaul.com/2011-01-10/ro...he-debt-limit/ cuts off at the end, but states the point. At least he is
voting against it. Most likely, most of congress will vote for it because they
are sold out and have no backbone. I hope to be proven wrong.

Here is the 10 "planks" of the Communist Manifesto:
The section ends by outlining a set of short-term demands:
- Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
- A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
- Abolition of all right of inheritance.
- Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
- Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
- Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
- Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
- Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
- Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country.
- Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
