Weird number anamolies this year!!!

This year we will experience 4 unusual dates.... 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 .

So figure this out, take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and it WILL EQUAL ... 111

Hmm, I wonder if the same thing happened in 1911, 1811, 1711, etc. all the way back to the true 1/1/11. (Imagine you were born in 14 BC, 14 + 25=39, so not 111, but from the year 111 on it would work.) Maybe not quite so weird, anomalous, and unusual? Of course, we would only expect a few people to experience it twice in a lifetime, with even fewer able to remember both occurrences. I wonder when people actually started annotating dates thusly (dropping the century portion of the date and/or using all numbers). I remember my dad showing us in 1961 that you could turn it upside down and it would be the same year. I argued that the number 9 had a straight line while 6 was curved as we had been taught to write it that way, thus not true from our viewpoint. I think he got a little flustered...

What if you bought a lottery ticket at 11:11:11 on 11/11/11, you won, and the final tally of the payout was $11,111,111.11? How synchronistic would that be?
