    On the issue of iodine

If you research it, it will make you sick, literally. Plenty of research to show our diets are deficient in iodine. This is the PRIMARY cause of hypothyroidism.
Numerous studies show 40% of adults are walking around with undiagnosed and therefore untreated hypothyroidism.Left untreated, leads to obesity, depression, digestive problems, diabetes, cancer, heart disease.

    Mis-diagnoses, to cover up/deal with a missed diagnoses (of hypothyroidism);
Fibromyalgia/Chronic fatigue, IBS/Gerd, Depression, High blood pressure, High Cholesterol, and the list goes on.

In fact, there are 3 medical conditions I've uncovered which are all A) undiagnosed or grossly underdiagnosed by Dr.'s, B) easily diagnosed and treated, and C) which if not addressed inevitably lead to chronic debilitating and ultimately fatal conditions.

Hypothyroidism, Adrenal Fatigue and "Pulmonary Fibrosis".Research them, and learn the simple things you can do to avoid them, and you can tell Dr.'s and the medical establishment to take a flying leap. Jim

I've been caught out in the rain a couple of times. I haven't noticed any change in the sensor strips. I live near Cincinnati Ohio. I've been talking all the detox herbs. I was taking most of them before this happened anyway. Since I haven't noticed any change in the detectors it makes me wonder how much radiation is in my area.

The first problem is that no level of radiation is safe and that the background level of radiation has been increased for the next gazillion years. The effects of this radiation will take many years or decades to cause an effect; by then most people will not associate the problems with radioactive exposure.

The next is we now have a huge number of radio active particles floating around in the atmosphere which if inhaled or eaten will cause much more rapid effects but again because the effect is not instant people will not associate it with the cause.

There is no escape, precautionary measures can only have a limited effect, the damage is done.

              Stop nuclear power.

                    Another leak...suspected

"Leaks of radioactive materials from fuel rods have been suspected at a nuclear power plant in Tsuruga, the Fukui prefectural government said Monday, citing a rise in density of the toxic substances in coolant water. [...]

According to Japan Atomic, 4.2 becquerels of iodine-133 and 3,900 becquerels of xenon gas were detected per cubic centimeter Monday, up from 2.1 and 5.2 becquerels, respectively, during previous measurements conducted last Tuesday."

Life in and around the lakes near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant appears to be thriving 25 years after a disaster released radiation into the atmosphere and caused or contributed to the deaths of thousands of people. New Scientist reports that high levels of radiation remain around the plant, but the evacuation of humans from the area appears to have been a boon for wildlife. Radiation-related illnesses do not appear to be an issue, possibly because animals die before they may appear.

                          How the Map Works:

A growing number of Radiation Monitoring Stations across the country (and world), using various models of Geiger Counters, upload their Radiation Count data in real time to their computer using a Data Cable, and then over the Internet to this web site, all of this accomplished through GeigerGraph for Networks software. This system is completely automated - there is no manual posting of data required.

Radioactive fallout from nuclear accidents is potentially a worldwide problem and we are ill-equipped to protect against this low dose and persistent ionizing radiation, for example, after cesium-137 ingestion or inhalation. Both animal [95] and human[96][97] studies have shown melatonin to be potentially radioprotective. Moreover, it is a more efficient protector than amifostine,[98] a commonly used agent for this purpose. The mechanism of melatonin in protection against ionizing radiation is thought to involve scavenging of free radicals.[99] It is estimated that nearly 70% of biological damage caused by ionizing radiation is attributable to the free radical, especially the hydroxyl radical that attacks DNA, proteins, and cellular membranes. Melatonin has been suggested as a radioprotective agent, with the proposed advantages of being broadly protective, readily available, orally self-administered, and without major known side effects.[100]

                            It has occurred to me

If, indeed the 'FS 50' begin dieing from exposure, the most logical place to bury them, will be at the plant. So, we probably won't hear about it.
Saw where a Nuclear science professor warned they better get the plants covered up, before the cyclone season.A cyclone is a hurricane, if its in the Pacific. In the Altlantic, its called a hurricane.Imagine what a Ctrina would do, in spreading the crap globally!
Also saw where 2 reporters went to the plant. They were turned back, by guys in moon suits, giving them the universal signs for turn around and get the hell out of here. Then they went to a nearby deserted town; said the first thing you notice is the absolute silence; like around Chernoble; no birds, no insects.Wonder if its cause they all die off, or cause they sense something, and just leave? And thats the only news coverage I've seen, for weeks.
Hard to believe nobody in the press is holding their feet to the fire! If we had had this kind of press coverage during Watergate, Nixon would still be President! What an unbelievably cowardly bunch of syncophants the press are!Jim

The press is just doing their job, reporting whatever they got in approved script. Those who own the press and media in other hand ................
I was just couple hundred miles from Chernobyl on that day of 1986 and after. Russian government announced that it has been an incident three days after the fact. Meanwhile Sweden, Norway, Finland as well as Western European countries were detecting radioactive fallout. Countries belonging to the "Warsaw Pact" got instructions from USSR not to release anything. We were asked to bring our dosimeters to be re-calibrated and they weren't returned to the institute personnel until official announcement. We could detect that the problem is coming from the sky, not from the lab using portable devices. Three days and 38 million people in one neighboring country were unaware of health risk. When finally government got permission to report and advise to get iodine it was too late. There was unreported spike in miscarriages and premature deaths from sudden cancer. People are still paying the price.
****ushima is more global than local problem due to the location, ocean currents and currents but also the amount of fuel. What is reported in media stream is a drop in a bucket. Wedding and celebrity sewage dominates to divert the attention from the reality which looks more and more grim. Of course this is for our own good so we don't panic. Proceed to the shower, your belongings will be taken care of. Ladies and children to the left, gentleman to the right. Breath deeply and relax..........

                                Event Description:

"The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is investigating after a radioactive element is found in the Mississippi river. Authorities say it started at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Plant in Port Gibson. They say they went to check for standing water in an abandoned unit, and found a build up of water. They decided to pump it out, and after taking a sample, they discovered the chemical “tritium” had been released into the river. Officials say the River has diluted the radioactive material, and is not causing harm to the people. Right now the incident is under investigation. There’s no word on how much Tritium was pumped into the water".
