  • Another huge problem with Canada's Oil Sands

Well, the man is at it again, doing more to harm our mother earth by pumping posionous chemicals into the atmosphere. Again in Alberta, there's more to the story (as always), where fracked natural gas is being used to seperate the oil. Coverup much?

Not just the atmosphere. There is a byproduct left in ponds and slowly leaking to the groundwater mains. There are compounds underground which cause no harm but since they dug up, concentrated and abandoned on the surface of the Earth it is a different game. Native people are being surrounded by those operations and often protest against it. They can see, smell and taste the consequences. Moon - like landscapes, toxic water and dust particles. Result - charges against the Band or Chief, police being send to remove protesters etc. This is all about money. Big money. We don't matter and neither environmental disaster doesn't matter to those psychopaths. You couldn't pay me to live near those oil sands. Another sad story and another contribution to destroy this planet. Beside, where is this oil going? Are we paying less at the pump in Canada because of that?

Change is needed in every sphere, in climatic or environmental. This can be brought about by taking necessary actions like renewable energy sources usage for energy demands. Wind energy, solar energy (SF fusion), geothermal energy should be used to meet energy crisis efficiently in future.. We have to start using them now..

It has been demonstrated by many that we have more known oil and natural gas deposits then we know what to do with. The problem is we are not doing anything with it. We have not built any new refiners or infrastructure, etc. in decades and then were told prices must go up because we have a shortage. Wow! Now isn’t that surprising. This is not a problem of supply and demand but rather greed, power, and maintaining control over the people.

Can there be problems with “fracking” probably. Can these problems be addressed undoubtedly? But the powers-that-be would rather use fear and propaganda to prevent the extraction of this oil as this is their way of limiting supply and thus keeping the price high.
But even if we decide that this method of drilling is way too dangerous we still have a 200 year supply of "conventional oil" in Alaska without even having to look for a single new drop.
