Thanks for the link, sounds very interesting.

I would be a bit skeptical due to them selling a book and the timing of 2012 being around the corner. All i know is that people always seem to have some fear of eminent doom, most recently y2k, now 2012.

Fear is belief. If you fear something then you absolutly believe that its real, and if you believe that its real then you will more than likely associate it with the closest date that could be relevent, such as a new century, millenium, or date of an ancient calendar. I've heard that the interpretation of the myian calendar may be off by 50 years. If these scientist already had a fear of what may happen due to the publicity of 2012 then its easy to assume they would associate and relate their findings to whatever they may fear....such as comming cataclysms. Thats just human nature i think. Its like that saying, if your searching for something that you want to see, you'll probably find it. Or they may have just looking for some relation between signs, to help sell a book near the preconcieved date of eminent doom.

But thats just my view on one aspect of it. Like i said thanks for sharing its still interesting to see what they think. I dont know what will happen, im thinking more than likely nothing. All i know is that in earth time big things happen slowly, If the magnetic field has been getting weaker i think we should have seen much bigger signs of that happening.
