I recently met a girl with a sad story. She used to be a runner until she got a foot injury. During a race, something cracked in her foot with immense pain which caused her to quit the race. She went to the doctor, but they said they saw no problem whatsoever. However, if she even walks for as little as 10 minutes, her foot begins to hurt. She has been living with this for 2 years, meanwhile trying everything to cure it (However, she never takes painkillers, no matter how badly it hurts). Sadly, she is getting to the point where she is thinking she will give up soon.
I want her to understand that she can cure this problem with the power of her mind. I told her she needs only to believe that her foot is back to perfect condition, and most importantly to never "accept" that this will be a problem for the rest of her life. As long as she thinks negatively, the pain will prevail. However, she doesn't know about the power of the mind, and I am not a very good speaker to convince her so.
The thing is though, I can see that she is not willing to quit, even though she might say so. She doesn't let it affect her life. For example, we went on a 4 Hour hike yesterday! The whole time, she was in the front of the group. Other people were complaining that they were tired, but she never said a thing. I can feel a lot of positive energy in her. She has the power to heal herself, but what can I say or do to help her?
Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you.
