The Secret of Oz - Winner, Best Docu of 2010 v.1.09.11 - YouTube

This is one of the best documentaries on the money system that I
    have ever seen.

Still2012.com This version finally cuts several bogus quotes which have festered in the monetary reform literature for decades.
The world economy is doomed to spiral downwards until we do 2 things: outlaw government borrowing; 2. outlaw fractional reserve lending. Banks should only be allowed to lend out money they actually have and nations do not have to run up a "National Debt". Remember: It's not what backs the money, it's who controls its quantity.

If you think going back to gold back money is a good idea, watch this
    video!
    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami

Thanks for the links, i'll definately check them out.

I think one of the biggest problems with the creation of debt, is the human nature to desire more. Its when you go beyond the means of your resources to get "more" that the line has to be drawn in the sand. A fiat money system pushes that line back, or basically removes it.

People want government spending to recieve "more" breaks.
In turn politicians borrow and spend money to make they're constituants "more" happy. which gets them "more" votes.
Banks fractional lend to earn "more" money.

Its perfectly natural to desire more. Thats how new countries were discovered, space travel, advanced technology ect. But wheres the end line?
At what point do we stop going beyond our resources to achieve more.

Wow! I agree. I was only going to watch it for a moment to get an idea of what it was about, but once I started I couldn't turn it off. This is the best overall history of how our money systems work that I have seen. The assassination of our presidents over the years takes on a whole new perspective.

Yeah, me too. Every couple minutes I wanted to stop it to get to bed
but I just couldn't shut it off. It is just so lucid!
