  • Dementia and ASEA

    Hi everyone,

I just want to ask if anyone has ever attempted to give ASEA to a loved one suffering from dementia?

My mom is 64 years old and suffers from dementia. To say that her cognition is severely impaired would be an understatement. I began giving her ASEA last fall, and continued to giver her 2 ounces a day, once in the morning, once at night, for three months. During the last month, she showed some huge improvements. Before, I could put together an entire 100 piece puzzle for her and leave out one piece, but she would still have difficulty finding how that last piece fit in. After, she was able to piece together about 80% of the puzzle herself, and quickly!

The reason why I discontinued giving her ASEA is because during the last month, when she showed the marked improvement, I had added a significant amount of medium chain triglycerides to her diet in the form of coconut oil. I began doing this after I became acquainted with the work of Dr. Mary Newport, who has reversed the progression of her husband's Alzheimer's disease with coconut oil supplementation (for more info, watch this video: Coconut Oil Cure Alzheimer And More | Huile de Coco Un Remède Contre l'Alzheimer Et Plus - YouTube. So, I attributed her improvement to the coconut oil, not the ASEA. Because of the obvious difference in price, I gave up the ASEA and have continued to give her coconut oil everyday.

Unfortunately, it seems that she has degraded once again. She has a lot of difficulty with the same puzzle she could do while on ASEA and coconut oil. I don't know if it is simply the progression of her dementia or if the ASEA was actually the catalyst of her improvement. It has been several months since she's taken ASEA, but today I ordered a new case to start my experiment over again. If she improves once more, I will be sure to document it on this thread if anyone shows interest.

I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts on this subject.

Hi Megan, i would also add a plant based whole food diet with only 10% (of your total diet ) with organic meat, plus a green juice 2 times daily

    ORGANIC

    3 celery stalks
    1 Cucumber
2-4 stems of Kale or Wheat grass/barley powder
    1/4 fennel bulb
    1/2 inch of ginger
    Bunch of cilantro/and or parsley
    1 Green apple

juice in a cold press juicer.twice Daily to get the heavy metals out, she needs to detox, a colonic has helped many.

Look to at least an 80% raw food diet, try this for 6 months.Do you know how many have used plant based whole food diet to reverse even the most chronic disease? i have been studying for 2 years, its the key to wellness.Let me know how you go and if you need any more guidance. To me there(i have tried to find) is nearly NO disease that a plant based whole food diet has not reversed, the reason it is better treatment is you learn what foods to eat to prevent illness for life.

      ASEA & Coconut Oil

      Megan,

      Yes, quite a few people.

Use both but not at the same time.

ASEA in the morning on an empty stomach and wait 10 minutes then you can give the coconut oil. Same thing before lunch or dinner. Take them consecutively with 10 minutes between.

I have half a dozen people on ASEA and coconut oil daily including myself!

The redox signaling molecules seem to be master "catalysts" for every nutrient there is - a master synergizer that brings out the potential of every nutrient.

      ASEA

Ash and Aaron, thanks for your input!

I will look into buying a juicer for her. Do you have any suggestions? I am about to graduate with a B.S. in nutrition, so I always do my best to feed her wholesome natural foods. Unfortunately it is a constant struggle with my (stubborn) father, who has a horrible diet and feeds her when I'm not around. I think I may be able to get him to cooperate if she shows improvements.

I personally use a vitamixer, which is not really a juicer but it keeps all the fiber, etc... so nothing is discarded. For a mixer, it is the #1 mixer you can possibly get and you can get way more use out of it than a juicer that does extract pulp, etc...

Vitamixer is so incredible if you put in tomatoes, etc... and put it on high, in 5 minutes the blade is spinning so fast that you will have hot steaming soup, literally.
          Sincerely,

            Hello Megan,

We are Scientists living about 50 miles west of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We have had experience with ASEA and it is our opinion that you are on the right track. Redox Signaling is a key component, but not all that is necessary.

If we could also suggest another piece of the puzzle, you may have an even more significant benefit. We have been studying Nutrigenomics now for about 10 years. This is the study of how foods can produce a genetic response. Some also call it an offshoot of "Functional Medicine". In our journey, we have researched many products that have absolutely zero side effects, and function at least as well as the dangerous drugs on the market with significant enhancements, nutrigenomically. One product we are particularly impressed with is 'Betalains' now available in a capsule form in a product called Limitless. This product is significant because it is a pure product with no sugar or other ingredients, other than Betalains. Hi Johnny,

I am curious about this product. I'd be willing to try anything if it could help my mom improve. I'm on a bit of a budget though.. do you think it would be beneficial to add red beets to her diet so she could get the betalains nutritionally from the whole food? I also found a product called "NitroGreens" from Biotics Labs. It contains betalains as well as many other beneficial ingredients.. at a lower price tag. I'd be willing to pay the price for Limitless if I was totally convinced it's the best of the best. But I'm not sure how I could really know without trying them all.

              Megan
