  • Protect Thyroid from meltdown of Fukushima

For those in the states , if you have an orgone accumulator radiation will not do you well. Disable your ORAC. It may reach their due to the jet stream.

Plus i got sent this message

In light of the meltdown of Fukushima: How to protect yourself and your thyroid against radiation: kelp, ginseng, ashwaganda (recently found to regrow nerves), chlorella, zeolites, fulvic acid, nascent iodine, reishi mushroom, sea salt (also salty miso), botanical (plant-derived) or lipo- vitamin C, magnesium (chlorophyll), selenium (brazil nuts), coconut butter, Megahydrate,

Hope every one is okay there.

Ash, I understand that chlorella and spirulina are very similar, but not identical.

Do you know if spirulina has the same radiation-fighting properties as chlorella?

During my research on growing Algae at home (specifically Spirulina – see the following thread: http://www.energeticforum.com/agricu...ing-algae.html)

Spirulina is an evolutionary step before chlorella, so it doesn't have the same type of cell wall. Which allows Spirulina to be consumed straight up, without the need to process/crush the cell walls.

I have come across some papers which suggest that it's the fibrous cell wall, which gives chlorella it's detoxifying effect. When the cell wall is crushed/cracked, to allow the body to be able to absorb the content of the cells. Otherwise the chlorella would just go in one end and out the other, if the cell walls are left intact. The bits of cell wall which enter the blood, will attach themselves to stuff like heavy metals and toxins and then be flushed out of the blood and body by the normal body processes.

            iodine

            To All,
The iodine present in 'detoxified iodine' is as described from this article
taken from one of the product pages:

Why is Detoxified Iodine superior to Potassium Iodide (KI)?

The idea behind Potassium Iodide is that, being bonded with Potassium, the Iodine is water soluble and therefore easier for the body to assimilate. This has been the basic belief of the scientific community for the past century, however, there is no scientific evidence to substantiate the premise. The body does not assimilate it better because it's bonded with potassium. The detoxified (Atomic) form is the only form the body can fully recognize and thereby assimilate, and it was Mr. Cayce's explanation of the charging process that enabled our manufacturer to transmute this product into its superior form. Naturally, an assimilable Iodine is much better in protecting the thyroids (as well as the reproductive glands, which are the two basic regions of the body that are particularly sensitive to radiation) and stimulating them as well then any other form of iodine.

It turns out that a study in 1990-91 showed that giving children affected by Chernobyl radiation, 5 grams of spirulina a day for 20 days, reduced urine radioactivity levels by 50%.

There was a follow up report that confirmed the 1990-91 study. It concluded that it also decreases the radiation dose (of Cesium-137 and Strontium-90) from contaminated food that is consumed.

The Belarus Ministry of Health concluded from tests it did in 1990 that spirulina promotes the evacuation of radionucleides from the human body. No side effects were registered. The Ministry considered this food was advisable for the treatment of people subject to radiation effects.

Niacin, Vitamin B3, Water Soluble, Radiation Antidote

                Here is an interesting article:

Niacin, Vitamin B3, Water Soluble, Radiation Antidote « 2012 The Awakening

It does not describe a protocol but sounds promising.

Niacin, Vitamin B3, Water Soluble, Radiation Antidote « 2012 The Awakening

                By Viola Woolcott

Niacin is a water soluble Vitamin which is also known as Vitamin B3. Niacin also refers to nicotinic acid and nicotinamide. The body uses them to form the coenzymes NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and NADP (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate).

As niacin is a water soluble Vitamin it can’t be stored in the body. It is eliminated during urination, which means that you need it in your daily diet. You should be able to get the amount you need in a varied, healthy, balanced diet.

It is vital to nutrition and has a number of various essential functions, such as producing energy from the foods that we consume. Assisting the skin, nervous and digestive system to stay healthy as well as playing an important role in energy metabolism in the living cells and DNA repair, as well as in the production of several sex and stress-related hormones. There is evidence that niacin supports the removal of toxic and harmful chemicals from the body.

Researchers claim that niacin had been a definite point of study as an antidote to radiation exposure and has also proven to be an extraordinary effective catalyst for the discharging of radiation.

Don't be fooled by the low radiation levels coming over the US and soon into Europe. This is a MOX plutonium nuclear fallout explosion and already far far more dangerous than Chernobyl. If it goes into thermal meltdown there is an estimated more than 1500 TONS of nuclear product on site both acquired over the last 40 years and added to as a storage depot from other places. This is enough to basically kill off half the planet.

During the explosions and fires VAST quantities have already been ejected into the atmosphere and will spread right around the northern hemisphere for years. However its the PLUTONIUM that makes this VERY dangerous especially the first 4 to 6 weeks after the first cloud edge arrives. Again although the radiation is low the carcinogenetic material is extremely high as airborne isotopes WILL cause cancer in 5 to 20 years time. But no worries then because its hard to pin back the blame to any government as they will of course all be changed by then. So the bottom line is "you are on your own jack".

Remember now One million people died from a relatively small Chernobyl standard uranium reactor fire. Japan has already had several fires, explosions, clouds of toxic steam and smoke blowing out across the pacific for days. Its estimated from a number of sources the death rate from this could be as much as 50 Million over 20 years due to the MOX. If the plants go thermal well then we are talking hundred of millions dead.

A detox and protection program is going to be vital if you don't want to be one of those getting cancer. Yes iodide is useful but the most important is stay indoors as much as possible during the subsequent 4 to 6 weeks to allow the dangerous levels on plutonium to fall out of the air and into the ground, seas etc.

If you can not find Potassium Iodide or even harder to find atomic iodine then use Tincture of Iodine and dab like a 6 inch square on your stomach twice a day and your body will absorb the iodine into your system. Its important to build up slowly as 90% of people are severely iodine deficient you can not rule out getting iodine rush so go slow. So start TODAY then add it the other stuff like kelp, sea salt, etc that Ash has already mentioned. BTW you CAN use one drop of tincture of iodine in one pint of water up to twice a day is fine once you have built up external slow applications is much easier on your body. Here is the proof, look up any camping or survival sites and tincture of iodine is used for water purification although i will suggest you limit this method to 45 days max. but at one dollar a bottle it can be found almost everywhere and much cheaper than paying out $500 for a rip-off pack on ebay.

How do i know this is safe? Well i been taking tincture of iodine, kelp, sea salt and many other methods for years as i had a lot of thyroid problems and have mange to resurrect my thyroid from the dead.- HIGHLY likely from Chernobyl as i worked outdoors a lot during the late 80's and early 90's. I was on 150ug of Thyroxine for many years and managed to get off it 100% Something virtually unheard of in mainstream medical. These health problems started to show around 1998 so the time scale for me is highly probable.

Also while there was a million died in the last 25 years there is an estimated 22% increase in the number of people within Russian and Europe that are VERY sick as a result of radiation related illness, auto immune problems, prostate cancers, and various skin and tumours that haven't killed people (yet) but left them basically long term sick.

So now you know this do you now think the plume heading out way is safe?

I feel confused about when to take potassium iodide.

I live in the western us. Someone today told me that radiation has reached las vegas. So it's getting closer to me, if not already here.

Should I be taking potassium iodide right now? And for how long should myself and my family be taking it? I read the link aaron posted in a different post. But now I feel a little more confused as to when to be taking the potassium iodide and for how long.

I have spirulina, sea salt, and some of that other stuff ash posted. So I'll be eating those things and getting some of the others that I don't have.

I've also been staying indoors quite a bit.

Also I have a brother that lives near the coast in california and he and his fiance just had a baby. I don't know what to suggest to them to help protect them either. Well I'll send them the info that has been posted, but I mean I don't know what to suggest to them about potassium iodide.

Should we be taking it right now? Can you tell I feel confused.

                        Nutrients to the Rescue

Spirulina and chlorella have been used heavily by the Russians after the Chernobyl nuclear plant disaster. And the Japanese love their miso soup and that was said to help some of their citizens survive the fallout after the Americans attacked two of their cities. This is why I recommend Rejuvenate in high doses because of its high spirulina and chlorella content and because it is like refined rocket fuel for the cells providing them with a broad range of concentrated nutrients.

Tan Koon Peng from Singapore writes: “Miso is effective for detoxifying your body of radiation. During World War II, two hospitals that were located side by side were hit with atomic radiation, in one hospital people consumed Miso and all of them survived while many people in the other hospital that did not take miso died. Miso is rich in vitamin B therefore it is suitable for vegetarians who are in shortage of vitamin B. For best results do not cook miso.”

Herbalist Brigitte Mars says, “There are a number of foods that can better help our bodies tolerate the effects of pollution. Eating lower on the food chain minimizes our chemical intake. Consuming more whole grains has a multitude of benefits. Their high fiber content binds with toxins and lessens intestinal transit time. Their vitamin B6 content nourishes the thymus gland and their vitamin E content helps the body to better utilize oxygen. The grain buckwheat is high in rutin and helps to protect against radiation and stimulates new bone marrow production. The mucilaginous fiber in seaweed helps to prevent the reabsorbing of radioactive strontium 90.

“Following the bombing of Nagasaki, a group of surviving macrobiotic doctors and their patients avoided radiation sickness by eating brown rice, miso and seaweed. They also did not get leukemia. Seaweeds also help to break down fatty deposits. High-chlorophyll foods like wheatgrass and barley grass strengthen cells, transport oxygen, help to detoxify the blood and liver as well as help to neutralize polluting elements and stimulate RNA production. Sulfur-rich vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and mustard greens combine with heavy metals and help prevent free radical damage,” says Mars.

Dr. Shade commenting on the above said, “In the last sentence Brigitte Mars, a local friend actually mentions the broccoli family. A normal misconception is restated here – namely that the sulfur compounds in the broccoli family bind the heavy metals. Actually the sulfur compounds trigger increased expression of your glutathione system, which results in both metal detoxification and free radical neutralization. The other group of food compounds that do this is the polyphenolic antioxidants – pine bark extract, green tea extract, grape seed extract, and my favorite Haritaki or terminalia chebula, an Ayurvedic fruit that is the basis for many medicines including the intestinal detoxifier Triphala. This fruit is used extensively in Tibetan Medicine where it is pictured being held by the Medicine Buddha and call the “King of Herbs”. It has potent effects on the glutathione system and on expression of other intracelluar antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase. Haritaki is one of the superpowers in Clear Way. Clear Way also includes other polyphenolics such as Pine Bark extract, large amounts of liver cleansing dandelion root extract, natural iodine and minerals from fucus extract (or what is known as bladderwrack, a sea vegetable), the metal chelator and super antioxidant R-Lipoic acid, nerve protectors gotu kola and bacopa monniera, and B-vitamins 1, 5, and 6.

Research on animals indicates that curcumin (an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound found in the curry spice turmeric) may help protect against radiation-induced damage to the skin. Other research in animals shows that the herb ginkgo biloba may help shield against organ damage resulting from radiation therapy. And aloe vera is often touted as a natural remedy for radiation-induced skin changes preventing or minimizing radiation-induced skin reactions.

A friend from chernobyl mention that food can be radiated too. Would medication food mentioned here will still perform the same way after they are exposed to nuclear radiation?

If they change then sending those food to Japan may not help.
