        Hi Lovies!

I'm just popping in to let you know that my art website has FINALLY undergone the Extreme Makover it has been begging for and I would like to invite you all to have a little lookie to it... Here's the link:

        Home

I had much fun creating its "new look" and plan on tweaking and adding more pics to it as the days unfold. My newest painting should be completed very soon and I will be sure to post it here as long as my image software doesn't decide to cause me any naughtiness!

Thanks in advance for taking a few moments to have a peek!

        • awesome paintings!

          Hi Pamela!

It is looking really, really sharp!

We still haven't had a spring here in Spokane yet and summer is a month away so it is refreshing & invigorating to see your paintings

Having just inherited about 10 rose bushes and a bunch of tulips that popped out of nowhere, I'm having a new appreciation for flowers!
          Sincerely,
          Aaron Murakami

          • Those Dots Again?

            Hi Aaron!

Thanks SO much for having a lookie to my new and improved website! I have worked on it even more since before ( Home ) and I am quite pleased with how it is coming along! AND... for such sweet comments about my paintings! I am so happy to hear that you are finding a new appreciation for flowers!

So okay, my Sweeties...I'm finally posting the newest creation...and Yes...it IS made with those dots again , only this time I created it with watercolors instead of the acrylics...The technique is called Pointilism, made famous by Georges Serat and I have always been attracted to it. This was the first time I used this technique with watercolors and it was a wee bit challenging, but I had much fun with it... Here it is...

            • Pamela, your latest work is breathtaking. I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to paint those millions of little dots with watercolors!

How long did it take you to complete this painting?
              Namaste,

                  • Thanks!!!

                    Thanks So Much, My Lovies!!!

Dear Pammie...I am so pleased that the new painting moved you! for posting your sweets thoughts on it! But this one is not really very big, so it only took about 8-9 hours to complete...Lots and lots of layers of the dots too, starting from the lightest in colors and building up to the darks. That meant drying time in-between layers. I certainly wouldn't mind having a dollar for each little dot!

Oh, Grace...I gave it that title because once it was completed, looking at all the little dots made me think of what could happen if I were able to reach into a magic treasure box and grasp a handful of tiny, sparkling gemstones, and use them to create a painting! Can you IMAGINE??? Talk about expensive art supplies!!! And YES!!! I certainly HOPE that my viewers will find this one as well as the others as healing to look to as I do to create them!

And Kevin...I kinda knew you would like this one... And THANK YOU for your thoughts on the new site! It looks like this one is going to be a continuous "work in progress"...much like each and every one of us who are living consciously and embracing the present!

                    With Much Love and Gratitude,

                    • Hello

I just read the book Crystal power, crystal healing by Michael Gienger. I made these necklaces for me and my friends based on the metaphysical properties that each stone is said to possess. Grace said they were very beautiful and I should post them here.

                        Oh, Tim!

These are SO Beautiful and I am so happy and grateful that you have posted your wonderful work here on this thread! From what I have read, the stones all have specific and powerful healing properties and I am wondering if you could share more with us about the metaphysical properties each individual stone posesses?

                            • the necklaces

The first necklace is black turmaline(schorl) Spiritually it gives neutrality and a relaxed attitude. Emotionally, it discharges tensions and protects from negative thoughts and stress. It is also said to impart intuition so that the wearer will know if a person has hidden ill intent directed toward them. Mentally Schorl stimulates clear logical thought and allows us to recognize our mistakes and analyse them. Black Turmaline is said to protect from radiation smokey quartz also has this effect.
The two beads next to the green focal pendant are smokey quartz. Smokey quartz is said to help with stress. Both smokey quartz and black turmaline have pain alleviating properties . Smokey quartz is said to relieve cramps. The great statesman and scientist Bengamin Franklin I heard wore a black turmaline pendant.
The green pendant on the necklace is a piece of Moldavite. This is a mineral that was formed when a metorite crashed to earth millions of years ago. The resulting impact melted the surrounding rock, and ejected this green glass like substance over an area of about 250 miles. It is only found in the area of present day Nordlinger Ries (Bavaria) along the river Moldau hence the name Moldavite. Moldavite is becomeing rare now since a lot of it has been mined and its occurance was a fluke. Spiritually, Moldavite allows the wearer to experience immense spiritual dimensions, enhances clairvoyance and gives us inklings of what spiritual greatness humans could be capable of. Emotionally moladvite encourages sympathy and compassion. Mentally moldavite helps detach our attention from strongly materialistic leanings and blocks. It encourages spontaneous and unconventional ideas and problem solutions.
The second necklace has a focal wire wrapped pendant of Schalenblende. Spiritually it breaks up outworn structures and bestows idealism. It Helps one survive dramatic changes in life and uses them for the meaningful creation of better circumstances. Emotionally,Schalenblende helps combat exhaustion, weakness and lack of courage. Mentally it encourages concentration, abstract thinking and the ability to communicate. Physically it encourages brain development as well as the senses of smell and taste. It stimulates the retina improving vision and protects the organism from harmful substances.
Right above that is a piece of apatite. It encourages healthy eating habits, mobilizes energy reserves and encourages the growth of new cells. Helps heal broken bones and arthritis.
Above the apatite is a piece of rhodochrosite. It bestows a positive attitude toward life and a all encompassing love. It stimulates circulation and makes blood vessels more elastic which helps migraines.
The clear round beads are clear quartz known as rock crystal. Their main effect is to act as amplifiers of the auras of the stones they are near.
Onyx fortifies self-confidence and encourages logical thought. It sharpens the sense of hearing and helps with weakness of the eyes.
Amethyst creates honesty and sobrity. It increases clairvoyance and constant spiritual wakefullness. Placed under a pillow it will prevent nightmares and provide a deeper restfull sleep while also increasing dream remembrance.
There are some crystals I didn't cover. I really don't have time to type out the whole book. If you want to know more you can get a copy of the book I mentioned. I got mine from amazon.
