  • Mini Slide show on the forum.

Hi Moxi-mags, I saw your reply as my pc crashed, but I only got it to start a few minutes ago, so I'll have to type like the clappers in case it crashes again.

Sorry to hear about the error, but I do have a possible solution. The love & Gratitude water crystal I posted earlier, you will notice that it scrolls through colours, this is done with three or four identical pictures each one a different colour, I then used a program to merge the frames into an animated GIF file with minimum timing between each.

This proves that this page will accept animated gif files eg. (lovegratitude.gif) So it is safe to assume that some photos done the same way with a 3to 5 second timing per pic, would indeed solve the problem. You will need to have a computer program that will export to *.gif format (typically File - Save as, then choose the format gif. or if there is an export command). Unfortunately the quality will be less and the photo sizes smaller, but it should work if you are satisfied with the compromise.

If you haven’t the foggiest idea of what I’m talking about or maybe you do not have the relevant program, you are more than welcome to ask. As it would be my pleasure. If so, pls send the pictures and text marked as to which poem goes with which graphic. Furthermore if you have any preferences as far as style or font, then pls ad that info too (If the photos in question are posted in this thread, then point them out to me, as that will be a lot quicker)

I will do a small test so long but it may only be in the morning. I have a major computer problem that I am busy fixing right now, this makes graphic editing prohibitive for the moment.

Aah, send or post your picture that you'd me to make an icon of. I will do it as soon as I can, My other machine is has more power, so it will be no trouble t all. (+ - 10min to switch between computers + edit)

See you later after the bug battle, wish me luck.

    Joel
Love Light & CEM my PC please.

        • LOVE It!

Great pictures. The forms speak volumes without voice! Thank you for sharing them.
Teaching surely is a heart calling. I loved being with the kids and experiencing with them the joy of discovery every day. They sure helped me keep it all in perspective when the busy times mounted up. When I became a principal, I absolutely loved having little ones just learning to read - come share their excitement with me.
I also was involved in a 'technology centre' where three of us taught grade 7 & 8 students from across the district - in a modular concept. We had modules from Robotics, Sewing, Cooking, Woodworking, Telecommunications, AutoMechanics, ... there were 18 modules in all. The kids loved coming to the centre. It is one of my fondest memories of teaching.
Now, as a grandma - I get to live it all over again through the eyes of my precious little ones.
          Have a wonderful weekend!

              • Help!

Okay last night I spent quite a bit of time trying to post at least one of my paintings up here.... I went to all the trouble and would you believe something happened???? Anyways as you can tell it never made it here, as a matter of fact it thought about it for a while and then it took me to a page that said could not find or something like that! Arrrrgh!

I think my file size was too BIG! So I am going to have to deal with that and see if I can try it again... I may attach it if I can not get it here any other way... In the meantime my webpage is Sj Illustration Home Page .

I have to take care of something with my kid and then I will try again!

Teaching is awesome! Way to go Nancy! That is a fine art!

What a wonderful teaching story I can just see them all streaming over to the window to wave to you!! And -- I must admit - I've taught in 4 schools and the Art teacher has become a dear friend of mine in each school!! As apparently will happen on this forum too!!

And I just clicked on your link -- GREAT GRAPHICS!! You have a fun, unique style that I LOVE! And you design websites too! Multi-talented lady!! I'm so impressed!

                  • Magnifient Magical Maggie!!

I have seen your poems here - and glanced through them - saying that I'd "get back" to them when I had time to savor them. Well! Tonight was the time............and I was BLOWN AWAY!!! You have a wonderful way with words that speaks right to my heart!

When I read this part of Spirals of Discovery ........I felt the goosebumps rising on my arms - a sure sign that something is a pure vibrational match with me!

                    "...............
Visualize with me, the spiral ladder of discovery
                    Radiating a beautiful rainbow hue
Chakra clearing, balancing as a personal spiral vortex
                    Lifting us up another rung
And as we move forward hand in hand with those we love
We support and lift each other up.
                    ..........................."

WOW! This is soooooooo very beautiful. I have printed it out and it's on my "Good Things" board!!

.... and I loved the Waves of Possibility too .... well.... actually ALL of them!!

What impact do teachers have on their students? Can't you tell?

So here's to the teachers who are dedicated, inspired and LOVE and respect their children---your children will NEVER forget you and will send thoughts of love your way for the rest of their/your life.

Ok, so I'm needing some direction here pls, with/ without background? If so, colour ? With or without text (Magie or MM) if so top bottom etc. Colour of Gratitude symbol, recessed or beveled? Smooth or textured, with or with out shadow. Then when whittled down to the best of 50, we can then shrink the icon to the 80x80 pix requirement for avatars on this forum. SoWaddaYathinkSoFar?

                          Hope you like, nearly there

How sweet is that?! I have a program called "Animation Shop" that I used to use to make animated graphics, but I have the same problem that it also makes them grainy when optimizing Over the years we've (me & others with the same program) have played with the settings but still the same! I wonder if it is better with the more quality pics? I hadn't thought of that until just now! I haven't tried it with the Nikon photographs. I'll have a go later! Thank Joel this made me grin this morning

                            • A Couple More...

I feel like spoiling you all today! Just because you're all so Wonderful

The precious few moments when the land is swatched in Gold during a sunset. I actually mispelt that word then, it said "God" not "Gold" but I guess it's the same thing!

This ancient oak tree was hit by lightening and "died", or so we thought! It grew leaves for the first time since, this year. It glowed reddy one night in the sunset, and looked glorious against the sky colours. We've called it "The Tree That Lived", I often read beneath it as it has a cup seat shape grown naturally at the base of the bark that's beyond belief comfortable.

Sunset the other week, taken from the farmers fields with cows licking my arm and the airport to the left. Can't see any of that though! it was such a fast sunset that night I nearly missed it.

                              white lily

Bee on lavendar in the garden. My mother always wanted a row of lavendar. So she bought one plant and planted it but it died. When I got my first job, I decided she should have her row of lavendar! But, they were £8.50 per tiny plant. I wanted about 12 plants. I left it for a few weeks then walked into a supermarket & found 12 lavendar plants that were 5 times the size on offer for £1.40 each! So my mother got her row! Now they are huge and she likes to hang the washing so that it drapes near the plants so they smell good. I like to take pics of the bees, butterflies and moths that clammer around. Insects love lavendar!

                              Sunset at remote conservation area:

Wild Pony surrounded by flowers at the conservation site (taken with 2 pixel camera)

                              The tree that lived

The cows are lucky, they get to keep their horns and their calves with them!

the wild ponies, this place is like a fairytale land.

                                Sunset there

                                Autumn is here

The golden lake with swan (same night as the grebe pic - for Joel!)

Hope these made you smile this morning,
