    Grounded In Glory

Grace, Thank you for posting Pamela's wonderful art. When she shared Illusion of Tulips with me, I wrote this:

    Grounded In Glory

In the stillness of a single bulb
the glories of the universe await
    incubation into someone’s imagining
    Nature’s intention
    When first inspired
    Tulips of Vision
In the mind of the creator.

    A springtime of renewal
    Captured healing touch
    Dots of devotion and love
    Each moment in time
    Unfolding in the now
    Beauty and blessing
From the centeredness of love and joy

    A masterpiece of healing
At the base of one’s soul
    Grounded and centered
Rooted in the magnificence of selfless love
    For those who will receive
    The blessing of intention
    Tranquility.

    Blessing, Maggie

I agree 100%. Maggie your poem matches so beautifully with the tulips painting. Those two go together like a Dream. If I bought the painting, I'd want the poem etched along the bottom

        This is SO much fun!

I just know there are more reading this that have much to share too. Please, please share!!

          Heaven!

Oh, wow wow wow you are all so amazingly talented. I am in awe of your artwork Pamela, your photos Sonora and your words Maggie. I LOVE art of any kind. Love it! And Allen, your son's music is awesome!

My family is full of great artists. I had the talent and then went different directions with it. (Well, I'm the only one that could ever play a musical instrument, so I'll count that as a plus haha)

Sonora, what magnificent camera do you use? It is film or digi?

My daughter will be going to school for photography, graphics design and art next year. She has inherited the great family talent for art.

Please keep posting all of your creations. I am blessed to have this glimpse into your worlds

I very humbly give a link to my hobbies page

You all are STARS---you shine so brightly and cast your light on others so that they can bask in the glow.
Thank you for sharing your blessed creations

            Wow!

Oh my! DeAnn, your photo's are Gorgeous!! Woooheeeeeeeeee!

            The CLOUDS!!!

I am LOVING your work!! Why the blush smilie hehee I know I was the same

Seriously, your photography is SPOT ON. (oh this is so funny, I wrote that and then I found the pic of the gorgeous Appaloosa!!)

Ohh I'm going to enjoy this. Thanks so much for sharing.

I was going to post my fav's but there's too many!! I'm loving the clouds, I'm loving the bird of prey in the wild, fat quail hehe, oh my! the rainbow and birds, the Northern Flicker! (never seen one before, it's ace! I love woodpeckers which are quite similar I think? I saw a green one 2 days ago in the forest, first time ever!) thats a great shot, bet it's a shy bird, the daily lily and pansies, I would SO wear the pink capelet , Pookie and the cavalry gate! Ahh who am I kidding I LOVE them all!!

Good job. How funny there we were chatting away and never once mentioned photography, hehe.

The first camera I used was a 2 pixel oregon. The one I have now was a gift from the Heavens It's a Nikon D200. The lens I later discovered is usually on back order for some time. Hard to come by. I asked and they had it in stock. Apparently someone ordered it but never came for it. So they let me have it. he did say I was very lucky at the time, but his words and meanings didn't sink in until someone else explained! The lens is the Nikon AF-S 18-200mm Nikkor. It is digital. I chose digital because i was wasting so much with film with practising, and also it uses rechargable batteries which is fantastic. When I used the Oregon I was so careful to turn it off & barely use it, it ATE batteries.

Thanks for sharing your site hun. It's lovely.

Thanks for taking the time to check out Gabriel's music. I have always enjoyed his version of "Manic Depression" although I truly love the songs he writes himself...he has a gift with words that continues to amaze me.

It's funny...we were talking about this last night...even though I am so very proud of him it felt a bit awkward posting and asking people to check out his music...sort of like bragging? Or putting oneself out there I don't know...I do know that I am very grateful that people are attracted to the message enough to seek out his music, though.

Thanks also for the recipe for the Comfrey cream in the CEM thread. Now off to find the Comfrey and attempt the recipe...I'd actually like to add that plant to the garden next year...hmmmn that raises another thought: gardening as art...gardening as healing...

Off to start the day now. Thanks again.

              With love and gratitude,

              Allen
              Hi Allen,

I hope you don't mind me replying to Joel's reply! I just *had* to say, you're so sweet You're definitely not bragging, that is a very different feeling tone - when someone is saying "I have this and you don't and cannot have it just me" - what you have done is proudly shared with great love. You're saying, please join my feelings here, they are so joyful and beautiful and I am so proud and I would love for you to feel that to with me because I love you too That is the difference. So no worries!!

Btw I found this on another forum, a thread where you post how great you feeel about yourself & I thought it ideal for here too!!

                Thank so much Sonora
Your camera is awesome! There is a big difference in the photo quality with the 10.2 mpixels versus mine (far less). Your camera's ability to capture light is also amazing. It gets rave reviews on the net. I know what I'm asking for for Christmas Have you taken a look at the Nikon D2x at 12+ mpixels? Ok, is there a drooling smiley???
Sorry, guys, that's it for my photography banter
                Luv ya,

                  Rave of Appreciation

Yes O Yes we are - on a rave of appreciation. Each time I open up this forum there is yet another wonderful gift!!! Sonora -what can I say - again you make me grin from ear to ear with your comments.
DeAnn - I love your photos -there is something so fantastic about seeing through the lens of a camera those beautiful moments others seem to pass by unnoticed.
I absolutely love taking pictures - but you two sure are incredible with what you are doing. I don't even know what my camera is -except it is a Pansonic Lumix but only 5 m pixels, I think. It does the trick for me in capturing memories. I am not sure how to post a picture here to show you or I might just do it.

                  Love,

                    Hi DeAnn,

Yes I really wanted the D2X it is the one above mine and is the professional camera. It's a gorgeous camera! Mine is the one beneath (in the list of camera's not putting it down lol) it's the semi-professional. I aimed intentially for the D2X. I got the D200 and I was just so happy to have it I didn't mind that it's not the D2X although that one is still on my Dream list I believe I had a self worth issue there on the D2X In my mind, it was sitting on a golden throne Now I have this one, I can far more easily imagine manifesting that one in the future. Then I will sell this one, and add the funds to the new one too In the meantime, I'm practising, practising, practising.

It took me a year to decide what camera to choose. It was a minefield. Whoever I spoke to disagreed with the make. People seemed to love one make and disregard all others. It was a hard descision. I finally decided on the Nikon after looking at months of looking at photography online. I also discovered someone who has every Nikon camera going & has created a free website that is a Goldmine of information! It's a treasure trove! Nikon D200
It was definitely a good choice, it has waterproof seals all around so it can go out in damp weather. That was the only thing that stopped me from aiming for a d70 or 80. However, the downside is it's a heavy beast. Seriously. Weighs a tonne. I can carry it for long periods, but my bodyworker sure knows when I do!! And because my settings are skewiff, I have to hold it dead still or else it blurs!

I would love to know all this camera does. I am so looking forward to the day I get lessons. It deserves to have someone who knows what they're doing operating it! Everything is on Auto It is like a beautiful ornament though, I just like looking at it

Please post your pics Maggie! a photobucket album is free to open and once uploaded, it's simple to just copy and paste the [img ] code It saves the forum space too, as it doesn't have to host photographs. And, nowadays photobucket have rigged it so that simply clicking in the img box automatically copies it! no need to press copy Genius.

                        In the good old days!

While sifting through the multitudes of camera makes, models & pixels I often would give up and decide to just stick with a relatives trusty friend. The 2 pixel oregon. I would borrow this often, and even today with the pics I've taken on the better camera many of the Oregon ones are my favourites I love this little camera. It looks battered now, as it went with me everywhere!

Here are some of my fav's:

Taken at the Spanish horse breed show at Hartpury. This stallion was so lovely. I waited until he'd got used to me and looked around & then took this pic. His mane was like silk

At the deserted mill, autumn 2006

Cygnet chicks, almost full grown just waiting to change plumage

                        Another cygnet

I got to know these swans really well, over years, otherwise I'd never be this close. There's no zoom so they're literally almost standing on me, that's their choice. They came to me The little one is lying down for a nap, that's how relaxed they are, even so I'm on red alert for any body language! I'd only ever do this with these swans, they are very special to me.

Same family from above on a ramp, they follow me around the lake lol

                        Sunset at the same lake

Hi Keoi! I missed your post

                          Inside the old mill

The lake & the sea from the hill

February sunset 2007 - it was cold and snowed two days later! Looks hot!

Early dawn at the lakes, we're enjoying the warmth

Again, 2 pixel camera took these:

                            My friends Spanish stallion:

I had to stand in the sea to take these, and boy it was freezing through my wellies! Seriously cold weather. Feb 2006

While out one day at the beach, I knew the batteries were low and they died on me. So I sat on a rock and changed them. A kitten came from nowhere and jumped on my lap! I was so pleased the first pic I took was of her I just stretched my left hand out! lol I really appreciated her company. I think I was in a funny mood that day. She cheered me up
