YIPPEE! So glad you liked them! You of the amazing photos
And......... no .... I am not the stacker - ever ....I just capture others artistic excellence!!
Our beaches are so outrageously beautiful - and about half of them have lots of stones - including huge boulders that really lend themselves to this.
And - they rarely last more then a day or two before the tide, storms ,or a curious child's prodding makes them history. I love this about them! Then they just reappear another morning
      I'm loving going public!

thanks! Your photo's are amazing! Can I ask what camera you use? It's awesome quality. I love, love how unseen people make them and then nature "re-arranges" for a blank canvas so others can start a new one! The rocks are very beautiful. They'd make some nice pieces in the house. I'd have a few as door stoppers! Our beaches are mostly yellow sand, with some small rounded pebbles the size that fits in your hand. And LOTS of seaweed and flotsam and jetsam. And single shoes. Growing up I noticed there were always lots of odd shoes on the beach It was only last year while talking to an elderly couple out walking their jack russells they explained that years ago a ship went down in the sea carrying shoes. And sometimes one gets washed to the beach but never a pair Maybe I could do a shoe pile up! haha that's actually quite gross. Although speaking of which I sometimes to a beach clean up and found one half of dentures. Who would've lost them at sea? The mind boggles! Give me your gorgeous rocks anyday!

      • Anything is Possible

Hi there Moxi-Mags & Enerjette SJ,
Finally, between two crashes, too little memory and a lap top with less oomph than a plastic lunch box....Yes, Anything is Possible...and here it is.

Note: Animated 'shoo wow' version comming soon.

Moxi-Mags, Rodger that, I'll tweak your icon (as it were) It will be great with a tiara / halo and definitely....that cheeky see through background…it’s very you.

One thing though, I'll need a bit of time to sort that as life just became a lot more rockier, ...but thanx to all of you I’m not seasick yet.

Sometimes when I re-edit a post, unless I choose the 'Advanced' button the page just sits there twiddling it bits. Something to remember for future reference.

Thank You all for the encouragement which is nice & welcome & makes me grin, however, it's not entirely necessary as I already get all that and more while I'm editing. Every thought does count though....and infinitely faster than typing

When first I saw your photos, they generated a flood of memories + the joy of a particular experience, so I felt that I should offer this thought to you. I’m sure you will relate.

These are naturally occurring balancing rocks, this collection is called 'Mother and child' this is one of many in the southern part of Zimbabwe near Bulawayo, the signature is in the art and unmistakably from ‘nature with love’. Enjoy (unfortunately no sea shore, but being there does make up for it, do a Google search for Matopos Zimbabwe, for more info)

Oh yes, the person who carefully selected, collected, carefully balanced those rocks you came across, may have not necessarily seen the Matopos, Grand Canyon etc, as artistic inspiration flows freely and consistently, as it is always access able to those who 'tune in'. Sometimes the simple motivation is to mark a point, this does not, exclude nature’s involvement, as the materials and inspiration are of ‘natural origin’.

Hope this picture inspires another exciting angle to the experience.

Joel - this is soooo cool!!
I love it that they are "naturally balanced"! And I agree about any stacker being "from nature" -- hmmmm ---just got me to thinking -- I believe that I am a true "creation" of nature - therefore whatever I create must also be from nature!
Another interesting concept - gives a whole new twist to "natural " things !!
Thanks for the interesting ideas! I love it!!

Nature Rocks indeed !! (This would be a wonderful title for my photo collection!! Vineyard NAncy

                  S.J.!! You Awesome thing you!!
Just have to tell you that the cat's eye is about the coolest photo I've EVER seen! How mysterious and secret looking!! What a moment you captured there!
As for my camera! It's a Canon PowerShot - can't remember the model number - but only a $300 model - 8x. And I do LOVE the PowerShots! They take exquisite photos! But I must admit that I'm a bit of a wizzard at photo editing too - I ADORE taking a photo and tweeking it to make it look JUST the way I recall it looked when I was there!! And - I truly love the impermanence of them too - it's like I'm the only recorder of these fleeting beautiful sculptures! WOW!
What a hoot of a story about the shoes! I think a pile of them would be a fantastic photo !

                    • Sacred Coupling

On the CEM forum, Grace posted she has been working on Relationship Issues. This got me thinking about how often we find ourselves in relationships of dependancy and need - seeking what we desire from others when in reality it can only be fulfilled by the discovery of our own Essence.
I wrote the following poem in honour of our anniversary.

                      Sacred Coupling

In that moment - I saw you
A mirror image of my longing
                      For loves gentle touch
                      Devoted attention
                      Focussed Love
                      Unconditional acceptance
                      Clouded vision of imaginings
                      Hearts true desire.

In that moment - You took my hand
                      I felt loneliness subside
                      It was enough to know
                      You cared
                      Walking quietly by my side
                      Open to discovery
                      Lifes daily busyness
                      Clouding soon, the way.

In that moment - That I found My Self
                      In your sideways glance
Eyes so sheltered from Your Truth
                      Watching without Seeing
                      Listening without Hearing
                      Not attending my Very Self
                      So closed to you.

I love You now that I love Me
Im sorry for what we have missed
                      Please forgive me
My path at times leaving you behind
                      To travel alone
As we each know we must
Thank You for being my angel of truth
                      Mirroring back Myself

In that moment, that you Find Yourself
And know that you are loved
I wish you peace and tenderness
                      Ultimate lovers kiss
                      Knowing only you can Be
                      Your Self
                      Your True Reality

Together, we travel alone at times
                      Connected none the less
By choices made before we came
                      Sacred coupling
                      Essence to Essence
                      Ultimate Oneness
                      Universal Bliss.

                        • Hi Nadine,
I believe it is like 'channeling' when I write. I sit down and the words just flow. I never change a word. Each line seems defined and even where to capitalize and not seem to all be a part of the writing. I feel some how protective of the writings.
I love reading them later. Yesterday while talking to Pamela she began reading one the poems out loud and it gave me 'goosebumps'
I am so blessed to have this gift.

Hey Joel, I just had to laugh when you were talking about all your computer problems and trying to get something done on too small a machine! That you know is a blessing!!! A HUGE BLESSING! LOL When I was learning Adobe Illustrator in college, my laptop I was working on did not have enough memory to save my illustrator files Yes it was maddening, and at the time seemed like a curse! A very BAD CURSE! I have to tell you I also did a lot of cursing too! Basically because of my laptops lack of memory I ended up doing every assignment 5 times! YIKES you might say... Yea, at the time it seemed like a YIKES, but now everyone who looks at my computer illustrations marvels at the skill level of my illustrator work... Why am I so good at that program when a lot of designers with more experience curse it, because I did every assignment in that class 5 times! Practice makes perfect they say... Well it definitely hones the skills! So next time your little laptop is giving you fits and not wanting to work with such a big project... Say a big Thank you to yourself because you will be so much stronger in the long run and your skills even more honed than before!

                              Blessings my friend, Sj zartgirl

Man reading my mind I have often thought about putting music and visuals [Like Sonora's pics] with my poems - but I would have to learn how to do that. Every time I create a powerpoint slideshow - I always think - this sure would be nice with music. Perhaps I am going to have to investigate programs or something.
