I just cannot seem to stop myself with these water drops... They are just so much fun to paint and I love the way they sparkle, so I hope you can all bear with me until I get them out of my system! Now that this one is finished, I will be fishing through my gazillion reference pics to start on the next and I WILL try to make an effort to NOT choose one with droplets, but I can't make any promises...

Ouch! Laughing hurts! Hahaha! Well I think I will need some of Grace's awesome corrections to get me to even venture back upstairs in my house ! I have been upstairs and back down at a friends house, but have not quite tried these stairs I will though!

Wow!

Oh, Sallyjane!!!

I just looked after I saw your Skype message to me and I want to tell you my first impressions before I go back for a longer look!

FIRST... The colors in the Dragon painting are quite evocative... The background is beautiful...there is a certain serenity about your use of color and texture there and it also makes him pop, but there is something about his heart-shaped face that struck me... The way it is divided makes me think of dualism...as if the creature is asking the viewer to make the choice between dualism or non-dualism...

AND...the painting of Fritke (fear), indicates perfectly the ramifications of the choice of duality. Well Done!!!

I have to say, my Dear Friend...You are continuing to evolve as an artist (and person!) at a very rapid rate and I feel so Blessed to be able share in this magnificent process with you!!!

No Droplets this time!

Hi My Lovies!

I have been busy with lots of things these days, but I have managed to do some painting and I am popping in now so you all can have a lookie to the latest one... This one is of an unfolding Lotus flower which is one of the symbols of the Crown Chakra. I can hardly believe it myself, but I actually managed to paint this one without ANY water-droplets!!! But wait...I don't know if I will be able to hold myself back from including some in my next painting... I must admit that I found it difficult to do so in this one!

Here's a little info about the Crown Chakra:

7th Chakra - Crown Chakra - located at the top of the head; the light of Universal energy; pure being. You bring your exterior and interior lives into harmony. You are no longer separated from the object of your perception.

This is the Energy Center of Divine Purpose & Destiny; the I AM I, the union with your own source - you are totally aware of your true self. This Chakra, when in alignment, makes you feel at one with the universe; Spiritual development is the essence of this Chakra.

This Center governs the Pituitary and Pineal glands. This is where body and spirit are fused; action and understanding become one; you are aligned with all the Chakras. This is the experience of the self as part of the omnipresent pure Being which contains all matter.

Often this is signified by the thousand-fold lotus flower, or a lotus flower within a lotus flower - the inner lotus has 16 petals (white & gold in color); the outer lotus has 960 petals (violet in color).
