  • Air quality

    Hello everyone,

I love this forum and happen to respect the prespectives and knowledge presented.

A have a question regarding air quality in a residence. I don't know why my AC is giving me a musted smell. Is their a device or a step by step that is not aviablable on the internet that I can use to cancel this smell?

I have thought of installing a Ozone machine in the AC room so that the AC sucks in Ozone. Or maybe placing a cyclinder that can be positively charged to attract all the dust. ( The AC room is clean and you will have dust regardless of the fact if the room is clean or not)

All suggestions are asked and welcomed.

Hi, A/C smell is usually caused by accumulation of dirt on the coil. This can be fixed with toothbrush and soapy water (with unit unplugged). Musty smell may suggest coolant being overheated but more likely by the mold growth - check this link - Dusty/musty Smell When A/c Comes On - Self Help Forums

    Hope this will help
