Please Help Jeanie Fund her Cancer Treatments

For those of you who know Jeanie, you know what a beautiful, energetic person she is (and I'm not just saying that because she is my wife!).

Jeanie just had spinal surgery to replace a fractured disc in her back which was weakened by cancer that spread from her breast to her spine. She has been in the hospital since May 24 and recovering well, finally. They took the IV out yesterday (Jun 6) and she is back on regular food without restriction. She also stood up and sat up in chair for the first time since the operations and her voice is getting stronger every day (breathing tube two times...).

All of this is excellent and I am intending that she can come home by this weekend. After that comes some physical rehabilitation. Then we move on to treating her cancer.

There is a clinic she wants to go to, but we need help...

What an Extraordinary Day

First, the president of Jeanie's company and his wife came to visit her in the nursing facility and we had a really great afternoon, even if Jeanie was lying in bed the whole time. She over did it yesterday and she wanted to be as comfortable, rested, and awake as possible for the visit.

Secondly, after the visit, Jeanie wanted to get out of bed for a little while. We have to get the nurse(s) to help her in and out of bed. But, when we came back the nurse supervised as Jeanie pretty much got herself from the wheelchair back onto the bed. Awesome progress!

Thirdly, we were contacted by an individual who would like to remain anonymous (for good reasons) who said they would be able match half of the cost! OMG!

I cannot begin to describe how blessed I feel and how this rekindles renewed hope in both Jeanie and me.

SO, we are currently at just under $1K, and I know there are a lot of checks getting sent, and (hopefully) resent if they were returned (because I had originally omitted 'Suite 4' from the address)..
