  • PATHS Chronic Pain Relief Module-Details

Here are some thoughts and info on the Chronic Pain Relief Module.

I do not know all the people that participated in the testing of this module, but here is a list of the ones that I do know of:
    • Male-arthritus-pain 85% gone
    • Female-recovering from foot surgery-virtually no pain, even though the doctors said it would be so bad she would have to force herself "to fight thru the pain involved in rehab".
    • Female-shoulder and neck pain so bad that she could not sleep until totally exhausted-pain completely gone.
    • Female-chronic headaches-pain is 70% gone-rarely takes advil anymore
    • Male-lower back pain-completely gone

That is all I am recalling right now. These test subjects have all been using the module for between 2 and 7 months.

    Miscellaneous observations about pain:

There are MANY different kinds of pain.

Pain is generally the bodies way of telling you that something is wrong. Even if you make the pain go away, the problem will still be there.

    There is an exception!

Some pain is just a viscious cycle feeding itself. This kind of pain, if it is gotten rid of, it is gone, there is no underlying cause that still needs to be dealt with.

Here is an example-someone turns wrong and pinches a nerve. This causes pain, the pain then causes the person to tense up, which causes more irritation, which causes more pain, which cause them to tense up more, which causes more irritation, which....well, you get the idea.

This person may be in tremendous pain, but the nerve that was pinched, days, weeks, or even months ago is no longer pinched. They are in pain because of previous pain. If the pain is relieved, then the cylcle is broken. It will stay gone, and there is no underlying cause that needs to be addressed.

For those who are in pain because of an underlying cause, that cause should be dealt with, if at all possible. Until it is, then I see the Pain Relief module as something that can help them alleviate the symptoms, but they should not forget about dealing with the cause, just because the pain is gone or reduced.

    My .02

    Newsweek Article

I am not on the chronic pain module, but I found an interesting article about pain recently.

Here is the link to the full article and I will cut an paste some highlights below it (bolding added) :

New Research Into Pain Treatment - Newsweek Health - MSNBC.com

    The Changing Science of Pain:

Chronic pain is one of the most pervasive and intractable medical conditions in the United States, with one in five Americans afflicted. Aging baby boomers have reported in surveys more aches and pains than any previous generation. . .

As the number of patients has grown, though, so has medicine's understanding of what pain is. Scientists once viewed it as merely a symptom of injury, an intuitive idea that resonated with laymen. "The public understanding of pain has been that it's a stubbed toe or a broken bone," says Will Rowe, executive director of the American Pain Foundation. "But that's just one aspect of it. Now there's a growing awareness that pain is a disease of its own." . . .

This is far more than a semantic change, Rowe adds: it's "tectonic." Docs now know that the brain and spinal cord rewire themselves in response to injuries, forming "pain pathways" that can become pathologically overactive years later.

      What a Pain In The...

Hip and Leg. What did you think I was going to say?

Thanks for the good advice, Kevin, and the article, FP.

I have had chronic pain in my left hip and leg for about six years now (has it been that long?). I've been to several doctors and healers and was told it was a pinched nerve, a loose tendon and a past life injury manifestation.

It has gotten better over the last couple of months and I've been on the Chronic Pain Relief Module for 2.5 weeks and know a little about Chinese Energetic Medicine now, so I expect the healing will be supercharged!

I still get pain in my hip which radiates down my leg to my knee when I stand or walk for extended periods (sometimes short periods) and when I sleep (lying in a prone or supine position).

I will post my results as I notice improvements.

      Keeping the faith,
      Glenn

Oops I guess that link didn't work. . . .No time now do search it again.

I just wanted to ask you Glen if you are on the stem cell module.

Pretty immediately after I started the self esteem module I made a decision to see a chiropractor and learned a heck of a lot about how nerves can get pinched.

Apparently any time there is trauma to the spine it kind of locks up and gets less flexible.

This can go unnoticed for years and years and often is not detected until we get a bit "older" 30ish maybe, and get less flexible.

Then we have problems and can't place why or how they started.

Depending on where the problem is in the spine, nerves to different places in the body including the head, limbs and internal organs get squished in b/t the vertibrea when the spine is locked up. It just gets worse and worse if not treated, and over decades the spine can even fuse together and trap the nerves.

So I've been working with the chriopractor who does adjusting and electro stim pads to strengthen my muscles.

It hasn't been a blissfull transformation as the stim pads can make the muscles swell and cause more pinching before they settle down and get stronger.

Along the way I got on the ultimate body mod. and recently the stem cell.

I can tell they are both doing a lot, especially the stem cell. The only problem I've had in the last few days since adding the stem cell mod. is I can tell I need an increaese in spirulina.

That is because I will feel very well in the beginning of the day (when I take it) and as the day goes on get a bit groggy and start feeling the nerve thing more and more.

I upped my spirulina today, but will go for more tommorrow.

(I may copy this to the stem cell thread as well.)

          Pinch...No Pinch

Thanks, Jessica. I kinda knew some of that info, but you really made it easy to grasp what's (possibly) going on. It feels like a tendon (or something) gets inflamed and then pinches on the nerve. So, I'm not sure it is spinal related or not. However, I have had a lot of trauma to my head, neck and spine since I was very little.

No I wasn't kicked down the stairs or used as a bowling ball by my older sister or anything like that, but between car accidents, running, football, body surfing, river rafting, and other wild and crazy experiences in (alleged) mind altered states* - I have had my fair share of spinal trauma. It doen't help that I've been a desk jockey for the past 10-12 years either.

As a matter of fact, I currently have both the Stem Cell and Ultimate Body Modules playing in my theater. I'm taking about 3+ grams of Spirulina 3X a day and may start taking a little extra before I go to sleep (recommended by my personal physician, Jeanie). It's not like it won't keep me up anymore than I already am. I also have the sleep boost which helps me get into a deeper sleep quicker, so that's definitely a good thing.

Any other info you want to share on this subject is welcome by me, and I'm sure everyone else who deals with similar issues.

          All my best,
          Glenn

              Glenn,

Yeah I've had some duzzie experiences with bicycles myself. One time I really got launched off one and landed on my face. That was in the 8th grade and probably one of the main things that caused my situation.

This site does a good job of showing how nutrients have a hard time getting to the nerves that go in between the spinal vertibrae when the spine is locked up. I have not tried the product. I read some good things about it and showed the site to my chriopractor. He said it looked good but he didn't think my case would require it, we could see how things went without it first :

Home back pain relief and neck pain relief-Posture Pump

I had the neck situation shown in the bottom pictures. The chiro took x-rays and knew right away what my problem is.

That is probably the mark of a good chiropractor, one that takes x-rays before doing any adjustments.

He has taken a 2nd x-ray at this point and the curve is coming back quite nicely. But the muscles aren't used to this quite yet and while I'd like it to be a quick fix it has been 3 months and I probably have some time yet to go still.

He does think I will be free of the pinch situation when he is done with me.

He did see some mild degeneration in one of the vertibrea which he says I will not get back. But if I come in a few times a year it will keep problems from happening.

Now that I am on the stem cell I may speed up the healing.

And wouldn't it be something if I got that degerated bone back from the stem cell mod? The x-rays will tell the story. . .

Oh and let me try again with the link to that article :

                Thanks for the

links and articles. It boggles the mind how advanced we think we are and how much we still have yet to learn! The human body is an amazing machine - we've gone into space, to the botom of the sea, we theroize on everything from quantum levels to the farthest reaches of the universe and we still don't know everything about our bodies. Thank whatever Gods you believe in for people who dedicate their to truth and understanding in their myriad forms (not entirely unlike many of you here on this forum).

                  Glenn,

The coolest thing is that my journey to learning all this began almost immediately after I started my very first PATHS module!

I started on the self esteem module. There must be some if / then thing programmed in there that says if the self esteem problem is caused by a health situation, then get that fixed

I signed up for PATHS on a weekend and by the following Monday made a decision that I wanted to see a chiropractor. (I had done the dr. thing, just got prescribed a lot of physical therapy and some muscle relaxers. Even a specialist and full body bone scan did not do anything towards getting information about what was going on or help solving it! For four years I thought I was doing all I could do for the problem.)

The way things went when I called for the chiropractor appointment seemed very much due to PATHS. That is because I had several things in mind that I wanted in a chiropractor and I got them all and more. Before that point, nothing in my life ever went that well or easily.

I don't think I ever would have found out any of it if I never signed up for PATHS!!

Btw the stem cell module seems to be doing a lot for me.

I felt better than usual after the chiropractor yesterday.

I also have been feeling the need for a LOT of vitamin C. Allen told me that helps with tissue repair.

Also in the past I have always been on the physically cold side. It seemed like I had poor circulation or something and often was cold when others weren't.

Since adding the stem cell mod I have been warmer than I used to be. And it's not just 'cause it's summertime

For example, last summer I usually kept my AC on 79 or 80. Last night I had to turn mine down to 77 and then this morning even that was too hot. I turned it to 75. That is NOT like me!

I don't know if that is especially so because I am doing a lot of healing right now or what.

                  I will keep updating. . .

                    Hot, Hot, Hot

                    Jessica,

Maybe it;s all this positive energy causing the 'ol internal temp to rise!

Not sure exactly what is causing it, but I;ve been a little warmer myself - and yes, I'm viewing the Stem Mod as well.

I'm glad you found a good chiropractor; good dentists, doctors, etc. are sooo hard to find these days. Don't you just love the synchronistic benefits of PATHS?

                    As far as I'm concerned - I"M DIG'N IT & IT'S ALL GOOD!!!

I've been sleeping better, my hip/leg is hurting less and I now look like Brad Pitt (just kidding about that last part...).

Hey Chris - if you are open to it, let us know your experience about getting back in the saddle after so long. Don't forget the Spirulina! (A little cog dis from the thater, a little detox from the Spirulina - minor, minor details in the grand scheme of things.)
