  • Cognitive Strangeonance?

Yesterday(and I've noticed it before) I got a really really dry throat to the point where it hurt and also my eyes always start to water when it's cold out but yesterday and recently before when I dry my eyes with my hand I got an uncomfortable burning sensation in my eye...and no I didn't touch chili or anything

Could any of these things be physical cognitive dissonance? Or the spirulina driving out metals that make me feel this way? Or am I just a freak that needs my space bus to come take me home?

And if neither of these things are Cog-Dis then could it be worth trying to lower my spirulina intake in steps to see if I get any cog-dis at all and if I don't then could it be my mods have done their job already and I could move on to try other modules?

Below is a link to a thread on ending the spirulina intake written by Illusions on the powerful intentions forum and it got me thinking:

    Input appreciated

    Danny,

Spirulina can be a detoxer so perhaps something like that is going on.

      cognititive dissonance

      Hi Danny,

It doesn't really sound like cognitive dissonance to me. Cog dis would be more of an internal conflict like if a kid who believes in santa suddenly learned there is no santa. The new understanding challenges the long internal programming and that would stir the kid up in an uncomfortable way. That is cog dis with something that has a known cause.

With an unknown cause, something may be running someone subconsciously and not know it and their mindset may be transformed by PATHS or other means and if it challenges their deep seated negative programming, even if they aren't aware of what the deep programming has been, it could also make someone uncomfortable and stir up some emotions, etc...

That would be 2 examples..one of a known cause and one with an unknown cause.
      Sincerely,
      Aaron Murakami

        Hey guys!

        Thanks for the input...

I just connected the throat dryness to PATHS cause it was one physical thing that happened right away when I started...

What I got now could just be a cold but hey...the eye burn is something weird I never experienced before in my life, hence the paths/spirulina connection...

I wonder if some past memory is getting activated. . .did you ever have a trauma situation, like being in a fire, that might activate this?

Or like you said, it could be a cold or perhaps something in the air.

            Hmm...

            ...interesting theory...

I didn't have any fire-trauma when I was a kid that I can recall but a few years ago in my days as a raging drunk I fell asleep while cooking twice and the food burned into coal and I woke up from the fire-alarm ringing and that left the apartment smelling from all the smoke even tho nothing ever caught fire outside the pot where I was cooking...

And also those events never really scared me back then and most stuff was just a haze...

You think that could be it?

            Thanx again

              Danny,

I don't have a degree in psychology but I could definitely see these memories being stirred up in some way as a real possability! Your mind is trying to reconcile different thoughts, like Aaron's example of Santa.

In your case perhaps something like "drinking is fun" is bumping up against "I could have killed myself by passing out drunk."

Maybe the physical symptoms are your mind's way of reinforcing / remembering how important the issue of survival is.
