I realised that by constantly reminding myself every time I ate something or especially while I was doing the grocery shopping that "I couldn't have that/ shouldn't buy that because ... ... x will happen" I was creating that situation as my only reality & ensuring that I stayed locked in that pattern.
Sharyn, this is all very good information....and Val, I would add that I too have experienced "problems" with many foods. What helped me start to make sense of it (and then shift some of it) was doing the Eat Right module, with a boost for instructions on figuring out which foods are best for me. I initially tested as having many different moderate food allergies. Now I can eat some of the things that used to bother me, and I think of it more as a condition of knowing what foods are best for me (dark leafy greens, fresh fruit, meat and dairy, organic) along the lines of which foods are most positive. There's still two things I absolutely avoid, but I don't identify with what I avoid. I identify with what I do for myself that helps me. I know you understand this intellectually, but that it can take some time to understand it on a "gut" level (no pun intended).

Know that there's no right or wrong way to do PATHS or to find your optimal nutrition approach.

Consider checking out the Chinese Energetic Medicine thread....there are wonderful things happening over there; I am continually amazed.

Also consider the possibility that you could be reacting to foods, and deficient in neurotransmitters, due to some sort of malabsorption. For example, serotonin is made in the gut...

MCT oil (medium-chain triglyceride) can be very helpful for this situation. It is one of the ingredients in my sports recovery protein powder, but I also take the oil. If you do the pure MCT oil you're going to get higher concentrations of the helpful ingredients than you will by using coconut oil alone. I use a tablespoon each day. It has no flavor or color. I put it in the smoothie.

      Hang in there!

        Hi Belle!

I would try the eating right module, but there are sooo many others I also need, I really need to work on my mental stuff, attitudes, relaxing, etc........so for now I am only sticking with the 2 modules I have, and I will keep eating right in mind if I can expand on these......thank you!!

I already know I am low on seratonin. I was tested. I am on some amino suppliments for brain and adrenal function, although I know these amounts are tiny compared to what is need for paths.

I will look into the MCT oil.......I have never heard of it.
And I will look at the Chinese energetic medicine thread. I really haven't had a chance to look over much of the rest of the forum here, but I will take the time to do so.

        Thanks so much!!!
