Well, here's an insight into the state of mind of a 12 year old boy lol....
The optician told us that my son is short-sighted, and he's been wearing glasses for distance (to see the board in school and in the cinema) since he was 8 years old. Over the last year or so, he's needed them more often, for watching T.V. as well, and I noticed over the last few months, that he screws up his eyes to read text on the T.V. if he's not wearing his glasses. When they updated his glasses, he needed slightly stronger lenses than before. I'd asked the optician if there was any way of improving his eyesight, or if there's anything that should be avoided, that could make it worse, and he told me there was nothing.
On the 30th of September this year, I asked Paths to swap one of my son's modules for the Vision one. Since then, I've been getting him to watch his theatre almost every weekday before going to school. He'd already had Brilliant results from the Accedemic module.
So, once he's ready for school, I try and make sure there are a few minutes spare for him to watch his Paths. Some days it's not possible as we're running late, so it's not absolutely every day.
I hadn't noticed any change so far, but I expected it to take a good few months anyway. I noticed that he's still wearing his glasses for watching T.V. And he hasn't mentioned any changes.
Well, this morning we were having a really interesting philosophical discusssion at breakfast, and had to put it on hold to get ready, but we were really keen to get back to it on the way to school, so as he got his bag ready, he said "Do I have to do my Paths this morning?" I said "No, of course, not, but it is best to try and do it every day if we can because of course, we want it to start working as soon as possible." He asked "What do you mean? Which module." I answered "Well, the Vision module! We want that to start working soon."
He answered in a casual, throw-away tone "Oh, it's already working." When pressed for further details, he mentioned (as if he'd put a band-aid on a cut and it was healing - perfectly natural and nothing unusual about it at all) - that it was working sometimes at the moment. During school he's not needing his glasses all the time for the board, and when I asked him if he was sure there's an improvement (I asked this several times because I couldn't believe it was starting to work so soon), he answered as if I was asking him if he's sure it's a school day. He'd just accepted the improvements as obvious, and didn't think of mentioning it.
I can't wait till his next eye test, it'll be interesting to hear what the optician has to say.
