IS there a module to help one get over any beliefs that they are not talented, and be able to release any blocks so they can be and feel creative?

I would love to write, but believe i cant write, i would love to play an instrument, but cant. I really believe i have no talent, and it really depresses me.

    thanks

I want to share my results with this module.

Since I was in high school, I have loved writing and thought it was something I wanted to do one day. I was one of the editors on the school paper and contributed many articles. Unfortunately, I did not go to college immediately after high school, but I would still, on occasion, write a few short stories or some non-fiction articles. I mostly just wrote for me. I never submitted my work anywhere to be published.

When I was in my thirties, I decided I wanted my degree so I started college. I was one of the few people in my classes who loved the writing and essay assignments and always got A's on my papers.

In the back of my mind, I have always had the soft, unfocused thought that one day I would want to write a book. About a year or so ago, I got an idea for a book that I was pretty excited about. However, I never could seem to get started on it. Then at the end of last year, I discovered that someone else apparently had the same idea because they published a book that was very similar to the one I had in mind.

At first I was rather annoyed with myself that I never followed through on my idea. But then I realized that there are many books that have been written with similar ideas, but told from a unique perspective.

Then, on March 1 I saw that Paths had this new Unlimited Creativity for Writing module available and I signed up for it the next day. Not knowing exactly what I wanted to write or how I would go about it, I realized (not for the first time) that the very hardest part about writing is writing that first sentence or paragraph or page. In other words, the hardest part of writing is getting started!

About a week after I started the module, I was in the process of writing a rather lengthy post on this very forum (much like this lengthy post ). After I had been writing for about half an hour, I realized the time had slipped away from me and I was not close to being finished with what I wanted to communicate. However, I had to leave for work. Not knowing how to save a draft on this forum (is there a way to save a draft??), I printed out what I had written up to that point with the intention of re-writing it all over again when I got home and finishing it.

After I had finished printing what I had written thus far, I was reading it over and had an epiphany. This was going to be the beginning of my book! The thrill of the moment when I made this decision was indescribable!

This was last Thursday, the twelfth, only 10 days after starting the module. I have since written several more pages and have formed an outline of how I want the book to progress.

For more than twenty years, I have always known I wanted to write a book, but could never seem to actually start it. Within ten days of starting the Unlimited Creativity module for Writing, I have finally started my book and know how I will continue to write it.

            Thats fantastic Pamela!!!

It seems though, that this module has helped you bring out your writing more. AS for someone like me, I don't even have that talent!
You were already someone who possessed those skills, and that passion!

I'm just hoping and praying for something creative to jump in my soul, so i too can be passionate and go for it!

Musingmus, you might want to try pairing this module with 'deserving' and possibly even some of the successful living modules. Talent is the ability to blend desire to communicate with technical know-how to successfully produce your unique voice/message. In order to find your voice, you need to give yourself permission to speak...and what's in the way of giving yourself the permission? The fact that thinking you can't write depresses you, tells me it's not true - ie not reflective of your inner self or potential.

Thanks Kevin. I am pretty excited.

I am writing about how to use the Law of Attraction to deliberately manifest things one wants into their life. As I mentioned, I know this sort of book has been written before, but I hope to bring a new vantage point.

I will also be using real-life stories from individuals who have manifested their desires. Personally, I have found that reading these types of stories are very inspiring and gives one the thought, "If they can do it, I can too."

Oooh I really was just exactly exactly like you Musingmus! Paths and my amazing Affiliate have really helped me to change all that in less than a month! People can have all sorts of talents, you don't have to be a fantastic writer or play an instrument to be talented, you just didn't know what your true talents are yet! Maybe you've got a special way with animals, or are a natural healer, or you have a keen eye for business. There are all sorts of talents out there and some of them are yours!

Hope that by this time Paths might have helped you get an idea of where your talents might lie!
