Here are a few pointers to help you get the most our of your Quantum Meditation Theater:
- Before beginning, make sure you limit any possible distractions (put your cell phone on silent, put the dog outside, turn off the TV, etc.).
- Do not eat directly prior to viewing, but be sure not to be hungry during your session.
- Many people find mornings the best time to meditate.
- Be sure to keep your back as straight as possible, with your feet flat on the floor, as this aids healthy breathing. Or, you can sit on the ground (if you have a laptop or have downloaded the soundtrack to a CD or MP3 player), but be sure to keep your back straight in this position as well.
- Focus on the center dot when viewing. If you are just listening, find something else to focus on such as a candle flame. Do not worry or strain though, as this defeats the purpose of meditating.
- Breathe deeply and slowly from your abdomen rather than your chest.
- If your mind is jumping around from thought to thought, gently bring your attention back to a single point until it rests there naturally. Focusing on your breath is helpful as well as reciting mantras.
- Once you have mastered focusing on only one thing, you will learn to clear your mind and focus on nothing at all. This is the peak of meditation and will come with time.
