Dear PATHers:
I would like to begin my long message with expression of gratitude to the members of this forum who introduced me to the amazing PATH-RDT technology with seemingly tremendous potential. For the last several days I am not able to do literally anything except studying all possible sources which provide at least trace of information about this scientific breakthrough. Not only I have looked through the Internet resources, but also made a search in several scientific databases, including (but not limited to) PubMed and Library of Congress. I also spoke with a couple of folks at the National Institute of Mental Health. I have also contacted some users privately, and want to thank them for their great help, kindness, and understanding of my specific problem. If they read this message now, here is the word for them: thank you, I love you! Since I plan to use PATH for solving a serious problem I have encountered in my personal life, so I am cautious and want to move slowly but surely.
Here are my concerns. First, there is almost complete absence of ANY information either on PATH-RTD technology or scientific background for this methodology. The only piece of information is published by NewsWire, an anonymous organization with unknown affiliation. Anybody on the planet can create this kind of website himself, call it something like “NewsPipe” or “NewTubes” or “GlobalPuPu” or whatever and publish whatever and whoever wants. This information is reproduced in PATH Forum, and as far as I understand this is the ONLY information which looks to be “external” in this forum. Neither PubMed nor NIH knows anything about this apparently big breakthrough. Let me tell you people that real breakthroughs never come in this kind of secrecy and anonymity. I am working in science myself for about 25 years now, and witnessed and even participated in a number of breakthroughs, but never a real breakthrough comes directly from the sky, without any preliminary diligent work of slow accumulating knowledge, with solid paper trail in scientific journals, conferences, policy decisions, etc. It never appears from the ground zero already carefully packed and ready to be sold for a hefty price. Only all kinds of gimmicks and scams appear this way. If anybody here familiar at least a bit with the history of science, they know that even the theory of relativity which is routinely ascribed to one person, Albert Einstein, did not just jumped out of his head, clearly formulated and ready to use. In reality, there was a very intensive intellectual work in theoretical physics for about 25 years before with hundreds of prominent names, and thousands of publications, and hundreds of experiments in dozens of physical labs around the world. Only after all this slow preparatory work has accumulated sufficient understanding of the problem, it just happened that the solution crystallized in the head of one person.
Nothing of the kind has happened to PATH-RTD. No publications, no experiments, no trials, no discussions, no explanation how it works. Essentially, only the price tags, big promises and sales pitches. Only several folks report some successes in some marginal things. Those things however may be easily ascribed to increased consumption of spirulina multiplied by high expectations, focusing and associated placebo effects.
About the side effects. I believe that everybody would agree that it is a dangerous thing to play high power games with one’s brain. Some people say that they cannot imagine that PATH can make any harm. Well, the fact that they cannot imagine just tells about lack of imagination, the one that would be supported by knowledge, familiarity with the facts and some personal experience. When a teenager smokes his first cigarettes, he could be possibly unaware that they make any harm. It is because at this point of his life he is unaware how the lungs of a heavy smoker look like when the lung cancer is detected. He does not have sufficient imagination to realize that when the tumor is detected (what we call clinical stage) then it is already incurable. Usually it is easy to predict how much time of life the poor guy has ahead. So the lack of somebody's imagination is not an evidence that the side effects do not exist.
Rapid Action. The systems control scientists know a simple law that the more rapid is the process the more difficult it is to control, the more precise and powerful should be regulation, the more powerful safeguards should be available to control unwanted developments. When the nuclear chain reaction in atomic bomb begins, there is nothing to correct anymore. The only outcome is death. Nuclear reactors implement the process in much slower mode, so they can be tightly controlled, and yet catastrophes still happen (Chernobyl). On the other hand, all ancient schools of thought, philosophies, spiritual techniques teach us that a real progress, real spiritual growth happens slowly, silently, without effort, harmoniously within, like a rose blooms, or like a child grows. People in this forum who are doing mediation know what I mean. The old maxim says that if you bring together nine pregnant women, the child will not appear in a month. So the benefits of alleged fast action of PATH-RTD are questionable. At least, here is something to give some thought.
I am a bit surprised that the recent PATH Convention in Las Vegas did not result in really massive evidence in favor of PATH effectiveness. I trust some folks here that it was fun (that’s Las Vegas is created for!) but the convention did not produce any serious evidence! For me it is a NEGATIVE evidence, the evidence that there is nothing really impressive to report!
Another idea, a funny one this time. The term “Rapid Data Transfer” protocol is not a typical expression in the world of brain scientists. However, it is a highly typical language in the IT/computer/networks/telecommunications world. So, I vividly see a couple of smart youngsters with BS in computer science who are sitting in their basements somewhere on the outskirts of San Jose, CA, and pretending that they are the company in Panama, are selling their stuff to unbelievably credulous people. Just notice what they sell. They sell basically a program, in a sense, a game. To those of you who familiar with modern technology of computer games, it would be pretty much evident that what they sell is a relatively simple stuff. If you compare with other techniques, you will see that there is no boxes here to pack and deliver, no CDs to burn, no call centers, no people to pay salary or insurance, no manuals to print, no nothing, just a pair of good laptops, exuberance of youth, and some understanding of the American soul. I know personally this kind of youngsters; my son is one of them. If I am on the right track in my search, here is a note to developers. You are talking about R.D.T. protocol as a way to deliver millions of instructions per minute to “subconscious”. OK. A typical frequency at which images are changed on you screen is about 150 HZ, what is about 10,000 images per minute. There is no way to deliver millions of instructions per minute using the computer screen. There are many other blunders in the descriptions, such as frivolous talks about amino acids and stem cells. It is evident to a professional that PATH folks have no idea what they are talking about. Their only hope is that the readers understand even less.
Please, understand, I am not skeptical, I am not negative. I just do not want to be manipulated and outsmarted by some really creative folks who developed an ingenious scheme to advertise spirulina for hundreds bucks a month.
Please, consider this message as a call to reignite a discussion with several key questions
1. What is the nature of technology?
2. What is the evidence that it works?
3. What are the side effects, long and short term?
4. Who are the developers, their names, location, and legality?
Please, everybody who has something to say, STAND UP and SPEAK OUT!
It is also a good chance for the PATH owners/creators to publicly answer the questions formulated above. A silence in response would be very telling too.
I love you all
Yours,
Jewel Bright
