  • Computer Problem recommendations

If you have continuous computer problems with watching modules, trouble accessing websites, etc... here are a few things you might consider:

you might have a virus - if you do, there is a free anti-virus program that you can actually get daily virus definition updates...truly free for personal use
AVG Free Advisor: Free anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware tools when downloaded and installed make sure to update the program and run a virus check on your entire system.

Also, you could have spyware, you can download a free anti-spyware program from the same link. update it and run a full spyware search.

You might have malware...used to hide bad virus and worms in your system. same link you can get the free rootkit program to eliminate this problem.

Defragment your harddrive at minimum on a monthly basis. Not doing so will cause slower system speed.

Remove programs in your startup that you never use.

Make sure you have at least 512mb of ram and 1GB+ is even better.

Make sure all your windows security updates are installed and current.

Don't leave your computer on more than a couple days before doing a cold start (turn power off then on)...do NOT just do a warm boot (leave power on and restart).

Clear the cache of your browser temp files and delete cookies periodically. In your history folder, I'd maximize the days of history to about 7 days.

If you don't know how to do some of the things above, use the help file of your system...you will find helpful basic info. Click the START button and the HELP AND SUPPORT.
    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami
