  • A Peace OF Mind

We all go through tough times, difficult challenges, moments when you feel you’re all alone and no one is there for you, feeling hopeless etc. . . Even for myself, I still go through periods when I get caught up in worries and stresses.

But however, I’ve since realized that peace is always available in all situation as well. And like any desirable state of mind, it requires effort, even if that effort entails consciously choosing to be still. Sure, our circumstances affect our mental state, but they don’t have to control them, not if we make tiny choices for our well-being.

Ever heard of the theory of the bottle & water? Let’s say right now, I ask you to hold a bottle of water for a min. You probably wouldn’t feel anything because how heavy can a bottle a water weighs right? But let’s say, I want you to hold the same bottle of water for an hour, your arm would probably start to numb, your finger might cramp a little. And what if you hold the same bottle of water for a day then? You probably couldn’t feel anything with your hands anymore. And what if after a day you’re been told to just let go of the bootle of water, you’ll probably feel like it is the best moment of your life.

What’s the moral of the story here? You see guys, it’s not about the weight of the bottle of water, it is how long you hold it that makes the difference. The longer you hold, the more uncomfortable it gets. So learn to let go. Let go of the things that is making you uncomfortable, because once you learn to let it go, you’ll find yourself in a peace of mind=)
