...exactly what lots of the PATHS-modules are doing? Shattering unhealthy paradigms and killing negative brain-chatter?

When I used to be a dedicated atheist Richard Dawkins was my god so I've been familiar with the idea of memes for quite some time and I think it's very interesting...

And as I think someone mentioned above...I think it's great to avoid negative input alltogether and therefor I've cancelled my newspaper, never watch the news on tv and my latest thing I've been doing for a couple of months is to train myself into not looking at tabloids...and I'm getting better but sometimes I forget and happen to read the first few lines of a tabloid before I stop myself and then I've started to remake whatever horrible story the tabloid told me in my mind into some positive story...it's a pretty cool thing...

As mentioned by 'Admin' in their post above, PATHS is also a super tool to imprint new Memes. However, PATHS works even better when we consciously work to align with it - like adding a very fine, high-quality oil to the machine.

I too have virtually eliminated all input from the media that no longer serves me in my desire to be a positive effect for change in the planetary consciousness. I do not live in the fears of the general population, so why would I fill my mind with them? Imagine if millions of people suddenly stopped filling their minds and hearts with the low-energy laden information of prolific Memes that are found in much of the media? Over and over, things are stated in various media forms as if they are FACT! Yes, we KNOW that all such things are malleable and changeable, especially if you allow for a holographic universe! Now THAT would be a GOOD shock to the Collective if millions suddenly 'changed channels'! It would be like opening the floodgates of resistance to Source, and allowing an incredible rush of pure Intention to overrun and transform the low-energies to higher vibrations - there would be a cascade effect!

The beautiful thing is - that is what all of us are doing here!!! And, already, hundreds of thousands, if not into millions, who are going into a similar place, without being externally 'converted' nor forced to follow some artificial creed. Through the power of one consciousness on the active side of infinity, thousands are affected!!!

~ I tend to think, but I may be wrong, that a meme is not only verbal/auditory but also visual & kinesthetic; perhaps 1 of these 3 components has a stronger impact on our conscious mind & for that reason the meme appears to be unidimensional (merely verbal for example)

the kinesthetic component: posture, gait, muscle spasm, repetitive hand movements, repetitive words or phrases (you know, sort of, cool, etc.)

there may be, as well, some supermemes or metamemes, such as dress code or speaking manner, whose function it is to place people in certain cultural categories or social hierarchies; of course, I get the ball rolling by, consciously or otherwise, placing myself in a specific category or hierarchy & then others follow & reinforce my own definition of myself

I agree that all of what you mentioned could be included in the word 'meme'.

The wikepedia definition draws from Richard Dawkins work which includes him coining the term.

Wikpedia said that 'He gave as examples tunes, catch-phrases, beliefs, clothing fashions, ways of making pots, and the technology of building arches.'

Some memes are beneficial or useful and others, the ones destined for the Stargate, are considered non-useful. To me, memes can include affirmations of both useful or non-useful, but particularly those sayings or those kinesthetic ones, that are commonly shared across a cultural group or even the world. They have taken a life of their own until they flow into our thoughts or out of our mouths with nary an awareness that they may very well be untrue. If this was pointed out in a conversation where the memes are flying fast and furious, its likely one would get the look of 'what planet are you from, doesn't everyone know this?' lol

I add (only to head to Stargate 'deletion' lol) a verbal one: "When it rains, it pours"

And a kinesthetic one: The garb, walk, speech and look of a gangsta rapper. Even children, who have no idea of the origins of the items, are wearing the 'look'. I'm not saying its good or bad, however, it is a combination of elements that have nothing to do with the true Self, in my opinion. What ideas and energies are associated with them?

Found another one

Yep! Actually Stephen pointed it out to me the other day...

I had gone for a walk with my daughter who will be 14 in Nov., and we probably walked about 4.5 miles. We had planned on taking a walk that afternoon, but had not planned on taking it right then... it was just one of those things! Because it was a spur of the moment thing I was wearing my knee high boots that are quite heavy, but comfy for normal wear. By the end of he walk I was soooo tired and my legs and feet had convinced somehow my whole body it should be tired and in pain too! Later that night I was chatting with Stephen, and I made the statement that "I am SO out of SHAPE!"

What am I telling myself? I walk everyday, maybe not that far, but I go for a walk in the park everyday, and then I tell myself that I am out of shape? That is one Meme that needs to be blasted out of my life!

You know it is no wonder America is getting heavier and heavier each year! It is also no wonder that we start an excercise program and then quit after a short time before we reach our goals! Well I am now thinking I have to really watch what I say about what shape I am in, and any other thoughts I have pertaining to my weight and the way I look!
