Hello all! Well today I ended up observing a Good Friday mass, now I'm not in the least bit religious and I'm not even Catholic, but Catholic rite is very important to people here in Spain. I didn't intend on going to a mass of any sort, I was meeting up with a friend but we ended up going to see the mass.
Anyways point is, the person who gave the sermon, now he seemed like a really nice guy but not the sort of person who would have even the remotest idea what LOA is or that it exists. Well this is what he said, just check it out, real cool sermon:
"I hear people complaining a lot because G-d hasn't given them what they've been clamouring to him for. They think that G-d doesn't care about them, that G-d has abandoned them. As Christ was dying on the cross he cried also because he thought his father had abandoned him. But as we all know his father hadn't abandoned him at all, his father was by his side all the time, all he had to do was be patient and wait 3 days for his resurrection. So just as it was true for Christ the same is true for all of us, G-d is always with us he never abandons or forgets any of us. All we have to do is be patient.
"Now you might ask, what does this have to do with G-d granting us our wishes? Well just as Christ had to wait 3 days for his resurrection, so too do we often have to wait until G-d will grant us our wishes. But G-d WILL grant you what you are asking him for. If you are patient, if you KNOW ALREADY that what you have asked G-d for has ALREADY been granted to you and is already on its way towards you, if you KNOW without a trace of a doubt that G-d WILL grant your wish to you, if you have total and complete and unquestioning faith that what you desire has already been granted to you and is already on its way towards you, and that all you need to do is to be patient, it won't be long before it will show up in your life.
"Complaining that what you want hasn't arrived yet, worrying and doubting whether it ever will arrive, will only DELAY its arrival in your life. But if you have unbending faith that it will arrive, if you will only FEEL and KNOW that what you have asked for is already there in your life, then just as surely as you know that G-d never abandoned his son on the cross, so you must also know that he has also not abandoned you."
Just change the terms for a couple of concepts and you can see, he's talking LOA!
