    (7) Law of Attraction

"Juxtaposed coherent aggregates vibrating in unison, or harmonic ratio, are mutually attracted."
That's J.W. Keely's 7th of 40 laws of harmonics, the Law of Attraction. Reading this forum sometimes though, you could be excused for thinking the LOA is a magical money making machine. WRONG.

I'd like for people to just go ahead and post, in as few words as possible, what the law of attraction is, in their understanding. Perhaps by sharing as many viewpoints as possible on what each of us thinks the LOA actually is, we may move a little closer to actually understanding it. It is a physical law, as imutable as the law of gravity, and about as well understood from our extremely limited, blinkered viewpoint. And just like you'll find university educated physics majors who'll swear black and blue they fully understand the law of gravity, they'll swear just as blindly antigravity systems are physically impossible. Which basically just says to me they really don't fully understand the law of gravity.

The same applies to the law of attraction. If it's simply a case of fixing your desire in your mind and being grateful that it's about to come true, where's your perfect health, mansion, dirty big pile of cash and garage full of sports cars? Well?

So lets bang heads together and make ideas fall out. What's your take on the LOA? The floor is open.

The law of attraction to me means that the universe will return to me that which I put into it. Like attracts like. As I sow, so shall I reap. As I change my mind to think more positive thoughts, I must also change my actions to be more positive not only for myself, but for everyone as what I put into the universe is made up of more than just my thoughts. Nowadays, I only have one real desire left and that is to become fully conscious. The allure of stuff and money has gone, for the most part.
My reality does not equal your reality, but my reality is neither > nor < your reality.

Hi all! If you haven't heard of the Matthew Books yet, mentioned somewhere else on this forum, this is a great moment to discover them! You can get right into them very easily by just googling "Matthew Books" and it will take you straight to the page. Matthew talks A LOT about the LOA, I think he makes it very clear and easy to understand.

Basically the LOA is that you attract towards youself everything that you are vibrating. Your vibrations do consist in part of the things you are thinking consciously, your conscious thoughts, conscious beliefs, feelings of gratitude (but only if they are genuine but folks, even if you aren't feeling grateful at all for anything or can't find anything to feel grateful about, it only takes a little effort to think of something that you are glad about, someone you are happy is in your life, maybe, or maybe something unexpected but nice happened the other day, etc., and then if you think of these things you will naturally start to feel AUTHENTICALLY grateful! ). (Just thought of another idea too, if we still have trouble trying to think of even one single thing to be grateful for, we can say to ourselves, I feel blessed because............, and then fill in the blank. We're all blessed by something! If we weren't we wouldn't be here. Maybe it sounds kinda sacrilegious but hey, ya know what? G'd is really utilitarian, he wouldn't put anyone onto earth that didn't have a purpose or serve for some use here hehe!)

But vibrations are so much more than just what we are aware of about ourselves consciously. That's why, like Noises said, it isn't enough just to have a firm, clear intention or desire in your head and feel grateful.

Lots of us have beliefs that we're not aware of, for example. So many people I've read tell us we should get rid of subconscious limiting negative beliefs but I have never ever ever found anywhere, that anyone was able to explain just how the h**l are we s'posed to discover these all-important and pervasive subconscious negative limiting beliefs if they are just that: subconscious! That means we aren't aware of them. We don't know they're there. So we can't get rid of them. But what we don't know about is still present in our vibrations!

Another example for example is forgotten traumas. I'm talking about the real deal, not that false-memory syndrome that's all the rage these days in psychiatric circles. I'm talking about real traumas that really did happen, but we've forgotten about them. Well we may have forgotten about them, but our vibrations sure haven't!

So, anyways, just ranting on again. Well, that's it, there are just so many things that contribute to what we attract into our lives, no wonder we can't figure out how on earth did we ever attract so-and-so situation into our world? When we spend the entire day mumbling positive affirmations non-stop?!

Well I'm sorry, I don't actually have any answers. I don't know how we can go about uncovering all these things that are contributing to our attracting and manifesting what we do. But I'm sure there must be lots of people out there who CAN suggest many different techniques and types of therapies, etc.

Oh my this is such a fascinating world! Now there seems to be just about every technique under the sun out there just waiting for you to discover the right ones for you. Well as I'm also going on a lot about these days, I personally believe a lot in Soul Realignment to help with loads of stuff, but there are just so many other techniques out there, there must be at least one that's suitable for every type of individual there is.

At some point I'd also love to find out more about Theta Healing for example. Grace's CEM also sounds amazing!

Lots of times the things that happen or show up in my life, though, rather than being a bother (well sometimes they are all the same! ) are usually there actually to show me what I need to work on now. And usually if I take the hint and work on whatever it is that I needed to work on the (unpleasant!) situation disappears. So you can take the things that are in your life as indications to how you are at the moment, and signs as to what you need to be working on at this moment.

Sorry, so looooooong, boring and....... well just long and boring again! So I'll shut up now. Better just ignore me, I rant too much!

Uh, I'm in complete vibratory cohesion with this post, at least I would be if I could figure out how it applies to anything in this thread...

It's not about the content of the post, it's the three links in the signature, that probably lead to a nasty little driveby download. (So don't click them.)

I've already checked the other posts by this user, vaguely off topic in both cases, and noticed the spam links in the signature, and reported it to the forum's admins as the spam it pretty obviously is. I've been doing exactly that on this and every other forum I'm a member of for years.

            It's for the greater good.

Don't worry, I'm all for links in signatures, as long as it's from established members of a forum, who contribute to their online community in other positive ways. I just report the new members advertising completely off topic junk, because if it's not just an ad for some off topic junk, 8 times out of 10 it's going to take you to a website that will install malicious software without you clicking anything, unless you use a script blocker plugin with your browser that by default, blocks all scripts.

Driveby downloads from spammers are one of the most common threat vectors for malicious software infection. In the end, the more people who're aware of where viruses come from and how to avoid catching them, the easier my IT work is. I may also have to own the fact I have an idealogical beef with people who treat the internet like it's their personal billboard, and they're allowed to use it as such, for free.

Long story short, don't click on links in random people's signatures , do learn to recognise and report spammers for the good of the online communities you have joined. (Homework, find out what a script blocker is, and how and why to install and use them.)

I also reported another poster's very off-topic and distracting posts (in fact you can read one of their posts right here on this very thread, both of these members appear to have the same or similar links in their signatures), however it doesn't seem to make any difference, I see their posts are still here.

From what I see it appears that what most people do, is just simply ignore their posts and continue on with the topic of the thread "as if nothing".

So we'll just do that too, and continue posting on these very very interesting topics.

Illusions is right on, and she explains it SO succinctly and easily to understand! The way I see it too, you attract whatever you are a vibrational match to. So the best way to change what we attract (if we don't like what we're attracting) is to find some ways to change our vibrations.
