  • Balancing Emptiness

I was thinking about this yesterday.

I thought about how a feeling of emptiness and unfulfillment can be more about others' lack of ability to receive than anything else.

If you view it this way, you can balance emptiness with compassion. Compassion for those who do not consider themselves worthy of receiving your light.

I would say yes. Compassion is vitally important to our existence. One thought is to let your example and light shine forth, as it says in the Bible.

In my experience, though, you can do and do and do for someone else, literally to the point of exhaustion because you begin to take on their energy and problems. But you have to realize you can only do so much (it takes them DECIDING they are going to help themselves), and it is just as important to give to yourself and grow within. This will set a huge example for others to follow.

    Just some thoughts...

Many people don't want light. In the uptight business world "light" is a pain in the ass. "Light" in a spiritual sense is a competitive beacon in a galaxy of concepts.

Emptiness in my opinion is balanced with courage. In our self centered world our environment is devoid of pity, mercy, or fear. "Compassion" is an act of courage. I say Yes to courage but is the benefit really for myself?

The dominant culture is governmenatal and corporate, like it or not. Because the alternative cutures such as religion, have been so incompetent and unable to get into a dominant role.
