Kevin riding out Hurricane Gustav?

I am just wondering if anyone has heard from Kevin and if he is hunkered down in Mississippi riding out the storm?

I hope he's doing alright

I talked to Kevin and his place is mostly just getting rain.

No problem Ingram on the forum, wrong thread or forum issues is mostly a problem if there is a currently existing thread on a certain topic and a lot of non-related posts start appearing.

Hey Ingram!

Mary and I were camping 70 miles north of New Orleans this last weekend. We were scheduled to come back to North Mississippi Monday, but because of the hurricane we ended up leaving midday on Sunday.

What a sight it was to see some of the 1.9 million people on the road heading out of Louisiana!

We got back home Sunday evening, and were well out harms way....until this afternoon... Some tornadic energy spun off of Gustav and we were under a Tornado warning here for a few hours.

One tornado touched down about 30 miles from here...only trees were torn up...no buildings or people.

All is calm now...just rain and lightening.

I am so happy that yall are fine and your property did not sustain any damage.

I was speaking with Sharyn on Monday nite and she said the ME group had been doing energy work on Gustav to take away its punch. I'd say they succeeded. Gustav was supposed to be a cat 4 when it hit land and I believe it came in as a cat 2.

Yeah, it could have been much worse.

I have talked to a few friends who work for the electric companies...they are saying the damage to the infrastructure of the electric transmission lines is much worse from Gustav than it was from Katrina.

There are over 10,000 people working on the lines right now. Some people will be without electricity for over a month, and it is going to take 18 months or so to get everything back how it should be.

We are still not in the clear here....more tornado's are projected to come through later tonite.
