  • Dream symbols....

Does anyone on this forum know an accurate interpetation for having a dream of a large, (5-6 ft.) snake? I had my 1st. snake dream (I'm 65) a couple of days ago. The snake was coming towards me and I grabbed it by the tail and the back of the jaw to keep it from biting me. It was very strong, but I was stronger and held it's head (neck) so tight that it's life's blood was sqweezed out it's head onto my hand and arm and out into the room. I then took the snake outside and found a hole under a building and pushed the snake into the hole and found something to cover the hole with. The snake wasn't dead and I didn't want it to get out. As I walked back the way I came, I wondered why the people around me had not tried to help me.
It was a scary dream to me. I looked in my dream symbol book but the descriptions did not fit my dream.
I've been reprograming my subconscious mind with personalized audio tapes that I play all night while I sleep and some of them are working quite well. I'm having more flying dreams (3 within 2 weeks) and in between, the snake dream.

It seems you're having a subconscious struggle with letting go of reason and are starting to see things more as they are. It appears to deal with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. The flying dreams are very healthy and may increase as you're able to let go of "logical reasoning" more.

If you're not using the lucid dreaming module, it may help give more insight. And if not, the suggestions on the lucid dreaming worksheet can bring more awareness in your dreamworld because if you do become lucid, you can simply ask questions in there and get answers instantaneously.
